Family with two older children. We live on an acreage on Denman Island BC. Our property is surrounded by forest and the beaches are close by. This is a great place for those who enjoy a peaceful getaway and time spent outdoors.

Denman Island has long been a haven for people escaping from busy urban centres. The island is famous for beaches, quiet roads, and beautiful scenery. Yoga is a prominent activity, as is gardening, and volunteerism. Many artists have made Denman Island their home for decades, and as a result there is a thriving local artistic community.

Help
Depending on interest and skill level, this property "offers" ;) plenty of maintenance projects inside and out. In April and May 2026 we will be preparing the main house and garden for another summer, so it will be gardening (weeding and planting), moving, organizing, cleaning and possibly paining in the main house and yard (lawn mowing).

Private barn suite for the guests or stay in the main house (depending on timing- tbd). There is also an activity room/gym on the property and small sauna.

Hornby Island, is just one ferry away, and offers more unique Island experiences. With a car, Vancouver Island is a haven for outdoor exploration.
