    Description

Our Homestead/Retreat is located in the California Central Coast near the small town of Oceano. This part of the Central Coast is know for its mild climate and beautiful beaches and dunes. We are a small fairly new organic farm growing avocados and passionfruit, as well as some other diverse plantings mainly for our own use. Located on 16 acres about 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean, we embrace organic and permaculture principles and try to enjoy our work and community.

Also home to the newly forming Retreat Center which will be a place for serious long term meditators. The purpose of the farm is to support the retreat center and provide a place for them and other volunteers who want to have an opportunity to study ways to live simply and sustainably and have time for study and meditation practice. The owners do not derive any profit from the farm. There is mainly homestead type work, firewood prep, weeding, gardening, building and repairs, family orchard maintenance

We don't have drugs, alcohol or tobacco on the property. We encourage meditation and respectful communication and of course work.

    Help

Right now we could use help to finish building a house. You would be able to work with a US General Contractor and learn a bit about building trades as we finish. We are also landscaping around the house and planning a food forest. There are many other little projects here such as fence buliding, irrigation, planting a miawaki forest, propagating plants and many others. We also need some help splitting wood (with a hydraulic splitter) and making biochar.

We don't have paying customer retreats. Its not a business.
