Description
We are a permacultural community with more than 30 years located in Chapada Diamantina, 7km from Vale do Capão. We develop activities such as Agroforestry, bioconstruction, reforestation, environmental protection, vegetable garden, herbarium, handmade soaps, school with Waldorf pedagogy, among others. Our diet is ovo lacto vegetarian and meals are always cooked in a wood-fired oven. We receive visitors, volunteers and also run courses.
We all work together from 9am to 13pm Monday to friday.Leaving 2 days free so that the Workaway volunteers can know and explore our beautiful region.
The workaway volunteer program have a mínimum of 7 days and maximum of 28 days . We request a contribution of R$350.00 to cover the volunteer's food costs, as we are a non-profit project and volunteer work will not generate profit, but will contribute to our care for nature, reforestation, food production for subsistence, in addition to receiving teachings and learning about ecology, permaculture, community living and related topics.
Somos uma comunidade permacultural com mais de 30 anos localizada na Chapada Diamantina a 7km do Vale do Capão. Desenvolvemos atividades como Agrofloresta, bioconstrução, reflorestamento, proteção ambiental, horta, herbário, sabonetes artesanais, escolinha com pedagogia Waldorf, dentre outras. Nossa dieta é ovo lacto vegetariana e as refeições são sempre feitas em forno a lenha. Recebemos visitantes, voluntários e também realizamos cursos.
Trabalhamos todos juntos das 9h as 13h de segunda a sexta. Deixando 2 dias livres para que os voluntários do programa Workaway possam conhecer e explorar a nossa linda região .
O programa de voluntario do workaway é de no mínimo 7 dias com possibilidade de estender até o máximo de 28 dias. Pedimos uma contribuição de R$350,00 para cobrir os custos de alimentação da pessoa voluntária, pois somos um projeto sem fins lucrativos e o trabalho voluntário não gerará lucro, mas colaborará com nosso cuidado da Natureza, reflorestamento, produção de alimentos para subsistência, além de receber ensinamentos e aprendizados sobre ecologia, permacultura, modo de vida comunitário e temas relacionados.

We are always looking to learn more English and French, and since we work with socio-environmental education, collaboration in translating our materials into other languages is always welcome, so that we can reach more people with the socio-environmental knowledge we promote.
Accommodation
We offer shared accommodation with single beds for the comfort of all or, if you choose, we also have a camping area. The community does not have electricity, so the baths are with cold water, great for the health and immune system of all residents. We have a specific area for the use of WiFi when it is necessary.
Dispomos de alojamento compartilhado com camas individuais para conforto de todos ou se optar também temos uma área de camping. A comunidade não possui energia elétrica, logo os banhos são com água fria, ótima para a saúde e o sistema imunológico de todos os moradores. Temos uma área específica para o uso de WiFi quando necessário.
What else ...
The community is next to the Chapada Diamantina National Park, so it is possible to access many waterfalls just by walking (Cachoeira da Fumaça, Águas Claras, Lago dos Patos, among others). The best access for the community is Vale do Capão. A bus from Salvador to Palmeiras and from Palmeiras to Vale do Capão. We have an internal library also available to everyone. In our free time we like to make a bonfire and play music.
A comunidade fica ao lado do parque Nacional da Chapada Diamantina, assim é possível acessar muitas cachoeiras apenas caminhando (Cachoeira da Fumaça, Águas Claras, Lago dos Patos, dentre outras). O melhor acesso para a comunidade é o Vale do Capão. Um ônibus de Salvador a Palmeiras e de Palmeiras ao Vale do Capão. Temos uma biblioteca interna também disponível a todos. Nos tempos livres gostamos de fazer fogueira e tocar música.

A campina é um ótimo lugar para nômades digitais que tenham flexibilidade de horário para trabalhar e consigam se organizar para trabalhar fora do horário comunitário. Especialmente após a instalação de fibra ótica na comunidade.
