    Description

I am an English teacher at a school in Pangkalpinang, Indonesia. I would love to connect with someone new to share our experiences as teachers.

I have three children: my eldest is 17 years old, and my twins are 12 years old. They are studying in senior high school and elementary school, respectively.

One of my projects is to bring in foreigners so that my students can practice speaking English directly. This initiative aims to motivate them and help them become global citizens in the future.

Our school is a Catholic private institution operating under a foundation, which allows us to volunteer and visit other schools as well.

Our school hours are from 6:50 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday.
I teach eleven classes of students and also participate in extracurricular activities and various school events.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Pangkalpinang boasts a rich cultural diversity that is unique compared to other places in Indonesia, as the community is comprised of Tionghoa (Chinese), Melayu (Malay), Javanese, Batak, and Flores influences. As a result, when volunteers come to Pangkalpinang, they have the opportunity to learn extensively about this vibrant culture.

In addition to cultural experiences, they also explore the local culinary scene, discovering a variety of spicy and sweet dishes, as well as an abundance of tropical fruits.
