    Description

I'm an English teacher at a school in Pangkalpinang - Indonesia. I've been teaching for 20 years.
I do really like to meet a new person to know and share our experiences as a teacher.
I have three kids; they are 17 years old, and my twins are 12 years old.
They are studying in Senior High and Elementary School.

This is one of my projects, to bring foreigners and let my students practice speaking English directly, to gain their motivation, and become global citizens in the future.

Our school is a Catholic and Private School, we are under a Foundation, so that's why I can volunteer to visit others school either.

As a local, our salary is Rp. 2.922.000,-/month
We have to go to school from 6.50 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Pangkalpinang boasts a rich cultural diversity that is unique compared to other places in Indonesia, as the community is comprised of Tionghoa (Chinese), Melayu (Malay), Javanese, Batak, Flores, and Bugis influences. As a result, when volunteers come to Pangkalpinang, they have the opportunity to learn extensively about this vibrant culture.

In addition to cultural experiences, they also explore the local culinary scene, discovering a variety of spicy and sweet dishes, as well as an abundance of tropical fruits.
