Description
A couple of years ago life brought me back to my childhood's paradise - my grandparents' farm in the eastern part of Latvia. After passing of my grandmother, the house has lost its original purpose and I decided to give it a second life creating artistic residency and making it open to creative practitioners. The name of the residency is derived from the Latvian word “elpa,” which translates to “breath.” It symbolises the concept of taking a breath, the act of breathing in and out, and the idea of giving something a second breath.
The place is open to volunteers between April and October when I spend my time there. -

Accommodation
You will stay in a simple private room with shared bathroom/WC. You will have an access to fully equipped kitchen. There is a wifi coverage in the main house.
I provide kitchen essentials and food supplies for cooking vegetarian meals. Shared meals are very welcomed. -
What else ...
The residency is located on the former farmhouse with immediate access to natural meadows, tranquil riverside and forests. It sits just outside a small town of Līvāni, the centre of the town can be reached in 35 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by car.
You will have to make your own arrangements if you want to see other sites on your time off. The residency is located in Latgale, the eastern part of Latvia with numerous cultural sites and picturesque places to visit. -
