Description
We are a small family of females, myself, mum and my two year old daughter living in a beautiful rural area 1.5 - 2 hours from Sydney. We are not far from Wiseman's Ferry and enjoy a car ferry ride across the legendary Hawkesbury River every trip we make into town. I am an artist and teacher and value the cultural exchange Workaday offers our little family in a Rural area. The small community we live in is welcoming and supports community spirit. We live close to the local pub, convict built full of charm and atmosphere and the local cafe down the road. If you are up for more adventures activities bushwalking and swimming in the freshwater river might be more your thing.
My home in situated in a spectacular valley with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a verandah. We are in the process of renovating and are hoping for help around the place. It is air-conditioned when needed and has a slow combustion wood heater in winter. Because we live in a rural area with no public transport, I will have to pick you up from Hornsby or Windsor train station. I would be willing to let the right visitors use my car on occasions.Types of help and learning opportunities

We live in a beautiful Valley that offers an unique Australian rural experience in a small community. Some of the locals have lived here since colonisation, while the majority of the locals are weekenders who add a vibrant and interesting twist to the makeup of the local characters. I teach art, and cultural exchange is my passion. I'm sure there will be an exchange of culture and unique experiences.

Visitors will have their own double bed with all bedding provided. There are two bathrooms which are shared and a washing machine and dishwasher. We have internet, Netflix and are only 1 Kilometre from the village where you will find the local pub and cafe.
What else ...
We live in an historic valley that was settled early in the 1800 hundreds. The local pub was built by convicts and there are also some First Nation Cultural sites around in the area. If you are into something more adventures bushwalking and swimming in the freshwater river is also fun, which I spent my summer childhood holidays doing. Because it is an untouched rural area public transport is non existent but I would be happy to transport visitors to and from the valley and help with any other requests regarding transport.
