  Description

  In Vea, we are a group of people whose goal is self-sufficiency through communal living. The village is located in the highlands of Soria, in a valley quite isolated from the mainland, bathed by the Linares River. To reach the village, you have to walk 8 km along the GR-86 long-distance trail, so everything we need from outside is brought in by donkeys and mules.
  Broadly speaking, our way of life consists of a large part of our time spent in communal spaces, while each person also has their own individual space. This includes sharing all meals, as well as some work and leisure activities. The activities we carry out throughout the year are very varied, including gardening, firewood gathering, construction, carpentry, working with animals, environmental management, crafts, baking, and beekeeping.
  
  We are interested in people who want to come and live in this way, who are willing to work and share their time in a friendly atmosphere, and who are also willing to learn and teach. Furthermore, Vea is a community, so everyone here collaborates on daily tasks (cleaning, cooking, fetching water from the spring). We are a group of people committed to creating an abundant reality in every sense. Finally, there is no cell phone service; you have to walk five minutes through the woods to get a signal. The village river has many pools for swimming.
  
  Organic methods: No chemicals or motorized tools, whether electric or gasoline-powered, are used.

  En Vea vivimos un grupo de personas que tiene como horizonte la autosuficiencia a través de la vida en común. El pueblo está ubicado en las Tierras Altas de Soria en un valle bastante aislado de las comunicaciones, bañado por el río Linares. Para llegar hasta el pueblo hay que andar 8 km por el GR-86, por lo que todo lo que obtenemos de fuera lo traemos con burros y mulos.
  A groso modo nuestra forma de funcionar consiste en que una gran parte de la vida se hace en los espacios comunes y luego cada persona tiene un espacio individual. Esto incluye que todas las comidas se hacen en común, también una parte del trabajo y del ocio....Las actividades que llevamos a cabo a lo largo del año son muy variadas, entre ellas está la huerta, leña, construcción, carpintería, trabajo con animales, gestión del entorno, artesanía, panadería, apicultura..
  
  Estamos interesados en personas que vengan con ganas de convivir de esta manera , con ganas de trabajar y compartir su tiempo de buen rollo, con voluntad de aprender y también de enseñar. Por otra parte, Vea es una comunidad, por lo que todas las personas que estamos allí colaboramos con las tareas diarias del lugar (limpiar, cocinar, ir a por agua a la fuente.
  Somos un grupo de gente con voluntad de crear una realidad abundante en todos los sentidos.
  Como últimas consideraciones, el lugar no tiene cobertura móvil, hay que andar 5 minutos por el monte para conectarse. El río del pueblo tiene muchas pozas para bañarse.
  
  Organic methods: No se utiliza ningún tipo de producto químico ni ninguna herramienta con motor, ya sea eléctrico o de gasolina.

  Help

  We will carry out tasks that require no prior experience, only motivation and a reasonable level of physical fitness. These will consist of:
  - Weeding the village paths and the orchard using non-motorized tools.
  
  - Transporting materials (firewood, lumber, tiles, clay, etc.) with the help of donkeys for use in rebuilding houses and other infrastructure.
  - Assisting with the maintenance of the orchard.
  
  - Chopping firewood with non-motorized tools.
  
  Volunteers will also participate in daily community tasks such as fetching water from the fountain, cooking, and cleaning the common areas.

  Llevaremos a cabo tareas que no requieren experiencia previa, solo motivación y una condición física común. Estas consistirían en:
  - Desherbar los caminos del pueblo y el huerto usando herramientas sin motor.
  - Transportar materiales (leña, madera, tejas, arcilla..) con ayuda de los burros para usar en la reconstrucción de casas y otras infrastructuras
  - Ayuda en el mantenimiento del huerto.
  - Hacer leña con herramientas sin motor.
  Los voluntarios también formarán parte de las tareas diarias comunitarias como traer agua de la fuente, cocinar y limpiar el espacio común.

  Accommodation

  Tent in a cool and cozy spot in the middle of the hazelnut forest, near the river and orchards.
  We will provide the tent and mattress to the volunteers so you don't have to bring anything.
  
  The locals buy the food and bring it to the village with the help of donkeys. Each meal is cooked by one person for everyone staying together.

  Tienda de campaña en un espacio fresco y muy acogedor en medio del bosque de avellanos, cerca del rio y las huertas.
  Ofreceremos a los voluntarios la tienda y colchón para que no tengas que traer.
  
  La gente que vivimos aquí compramos la comida y la traemos al pueblo con ayuda de los burros. Cada comida es cocida por una persona para todos los que estemos conviviendo.

  Se puede aparcar en San Pedro Manrique. No hay forma de llegar a la aldea en coche. Se tiene que andar 8km por una senda de montaña, gr86, para llegar a donde estamos.
