    Description

Our farm is located in a peaceful borderland area between Võru County in Estonia and Latvia, surrounded by forests, fields, and fresh air. The farm is built on the ruins of the historic Taheva Manor, giving the place a strong sense of history and connection to the land.
We welcome volunteers who wish to experience simple farm life and learn through hands-on activities. Together we work growing food in a natural and sustainable way, following the rhythms of the seasons. Tasks may include gardening, caring for the land, simple construction, and other everyday farm activities. No special skills are required — just curiosity, willingness to learn, and respect for nature.
Accommodation is simple and close to nature. Volunteers can stay in a separate room with clay walls, which create a warm and calm atmosphere, or choose to sleep in a teepee if they prefer a more outdoor experience.
We value simple living, shared meals, and learning by doing. Life on the farm is about cooperation, balance, and enjoying meaningful work in a natural environment.
If you are looking for a place to slow down, learn practical skills, and connect with the land, you are very welcome to join us.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Travellers will benefit from a rich cultural exchange by taking part in everyday life on our farm and in the food forest. They can learn innovative, new-age gardening methods and sustainable food production practices. In the food forest, we also use solar systems, offering practical experience with renewable energy in a rural setting.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to experience local traditions, including different types of saunas available in the village, which are an important part of Estonian culture. Our village has a very active and welcoming community, and volunteers can take part in local events and daily life.
This is a place to meet interesting people, share skills and stories, and gain hands-on knowledge about sustainable living, community life, and nature-based practices.
