Description
Hello,
My name is Gabriel, I'm 32 and I will have the pleasure of welcoming you to my Romany chalet.
Ideally located in the Riviera region, you will find here a place just as suitable for rest as for many activities. Close to the Alps and Lake Geneva, it is easy to vary the pleasures in every season.
Vevey, the “city of images,” is the closest town, 15 minutes away by bus, followed by Montreux at 30 minutes, Lausanne at 40 minutes, Fribourg at 1 hour, Bern and Sion at 1 hour 20, and Geneva at 1 hour 30. Buses run very frequently, with trains taking over afterwards. The chalet is accessible during the week until around midnight, with a last bus on weekends at 3 a.m. for the more festive among you ^^
As for the view… well, I’ll let you judge for yourself. But I’m writing this on January 21st, and the entire plain from Geneva to Bern, passing through the Riviera, has been under fog for two weeks — and here… a view over a sea of clouds, the Dent de Jaman and the Dents du Midi rising above the landscape.
As for me, I am a person of full intensity. I live at 200%!
I have just launched my professional activity as an eco-responsible entrepreneurial coach. My goal is to help people working for the common good to build resilient structures and increase their impact. Alongside this, I am the coordinator of the association Convergence durable, the platform for eco-responsible organizations in French-speaking Switzerland.
We are living in a crucial period for humanity, and I am convinced that it is through sharing and collaboration that we will be able to meet the challenge of transforming our destructive society into a benevolent one.
And finally, if you enjoy walking, running, dancing, and celebrating life, I could even show you a few places where we can make our souls vibrate!
I look forward to meeting you.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Exchange is very important to me. During my travels, especially in Guinea, I found answers that allowed me to question myself and to grow toward who I truly am. It is by discovering others that we learn about ourselves. I therefore enjoy meeting new people and discovering other ways of thinking.
On weekends, I regularly go dancing, have drinks, go for walks, or practice other sports. You are very welcome to join me, according to your wishes and your desires.
Having been in my personal ecological transition for several years now, I have accumulated many techniques and much knowledge to reduce one’s ecological impact. I am of course open to sharing my experience in this field, or in the creation of projects.
Help
I am starting several permaculture projects. In long term, I wish to create an edible forest while encouraging habitats for wildlife. Most of the projects you will be able to take part in will take place within this framework. This is just the beginning: together we will be able to create growing areas, plant many different kinds of plants, cultivate according to principles of respect for living beings, transform our products, build a pond, and much more.
This year, I am building earthworks for a main vegetable garden area. It is heavy physical work to build the walls.
Otherwise, it is also possible to help me with household tasks, such as cooking and the indoor and outdoor maintenance of the chalet.
You will have understood: I am a very active person with a completely volatile schedule. So any help will truly be welcome. I work mainly from home, but I will not always be present. Someone who can manage partly on their own would find their place more easily.
Believing that we all have our own rhythms, we will arrange things together to organize ourselves.

Accommodation
In the chalet, you will have a private bedroom at your disposal. There is a bunk bed, with a large mattress on the lower level and a smaller one on the upper level. The room is furnished with a bedside table and a built-in wall wardrobe.
The bathroom and the toilet are combined and shared. There is a washing machine and also a dryer if needed. Towels and bed linen are provided.
The chalet is equipped with Wi-Fi and a television, but without TV channels in the common area. Various fitness and strength-training equipment are available. The chalet also has a balcony protected from the rain.
In terms of mobility, a regular bicycle and an electric bike are available.
Regarding meals, I do not eat meat at home. I will therefore offer you balanced vegetarian meals, with food coming mainly from a local cooperative of which I am a member or from the garden. You are of course free to buy your own meat or fish.
Three meals a day will be provided. Either you will prepare them yourself as part of your tasks, or we will prepare them together.
I tend to cook in the evening for dinner and for the meal of the following day. I may sometimes not be present; in that case, you will be able to prepare your own meals.
