    Description

I am a counsellor here on Galiano and my husband, Jack, is a full time musician. We have three kids aged 19, 16, and 13. We live in the forest on 8 acres that backs on to an extensive trail system about a 20 minute walk to the ocean. Galiano is a beautiful island with a small population of 1,400 people. If you love nature, you will love it here. Our house is always full of music and books, and at any given moment someone will be making art of some kind.

We are kind, open minded people and our household is a place where everyone is accepted. We expect that of our visitors as well. Workaways that stay with us must be queer friendly and respectful of gender diversity as we have two non-binary teens. We are layed back and communicate in a straightforward way. We look forward to meeting you.

There are many beaches and beautiful trails to explore. It is small island life. The people are lively and hardy with great stories of what holds them in this place.

Ours is a house full of music making, books and creative projects are always on the go.
