    Description

Living on a calm and rather lonely place in Northern Germany, we'd like to invite people who are interested in alternative life forms, permaculture gardening, self-sufficiency, application of medicinal herbs, creative projects (e.g. up-cyclings), sustainability, minimalism, etc.
My vegetable garden is not very large, no real farm-works are to be done, and no big machines are used. But you can have a look how to grow your own food and how self-sufficiency (concerning the vegetables and fruits) functions on a small place.
Our property is 9 km outside Oldenburg (very nice town, involved in several sustainability projects, cultural life), there are no direct neighbours, only wood (next bus stop is 2 km from here).
So if you are also looking for a place to retreat, cosy rooms for meditation, yoga, etc., you are very welcome! There are different works to do in the garden, also some woodworks, especially in winter months. We prefer to invite people who also like to spend some time on their own (free time or working time) - just like we do.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are interested in exchanges to other people gaining experiences in permacultural gardening, medicinal herbs, self-sufficiency and sustainability projects. But if you are not that experienced yet, you are welcome to benefit from what you'll find here.
As much as we love our country life, we also love to go sailing on the North Sea. So if you are also interested in that, you are welcome on board! (If not, you'll have all our property on your own for the weekend ;-)

    Help

You are very welcome to participate in my garden projects, if you like to work in the vegetable and herb beds, make firewood, renovate some small wooden buildings, perhaps construct a new one (simple carpentry).
Depending on your ideas regarding your stay, 4-5 hours per day is perhaps too much working hours. So we will be glad to talk about it, e.g. a "half work-half holiday-solution" (and if so, we could perhaps share a bit the expenses ;-) …)

    Accommodation

You will get your own room for the time of stay. We share the bathroom and the kitchen.
We usually cook vegetarian food. If you need vegan food, it's no problem. If you need meat, we are tolerant if it's ecological.
You may also use the little sauna, the fireplace, the Hollywood swing and all the other cosy places in my garden.
