Living on a calm and rather lonely place in Northern Germany, I'd like to invite people who are interested in alternative life forms, permaculture gardening, self-sufficiency, application of medicinal herbs, creative projects (e.g. up-cyclings), sustainability, minimalism, etc.
My vegetable garden is not very large, no real farm-works are to be done, and no big machines are used. But you can have a look how to grow your own food and how self-sufficiency (concerning the vegetables and fruits) functions on a small place.
My property is 9 km outside Oldenburg (very nice town, involved in several sustainability projects, cultural life), there are no direct neighbors, only wood (next bus stop is 2 km from here).
So if you are also looking for a place to retreat, cosy rooms for meditation, yoga, etc., you are very welcome! There are lots of different works to do together in the garden, also some woodworks.
Above all, I like to work with all my medicinal herbs and historical vegetables, and you could help me to prepare my workshops and guided garden tours in summer time.
Update DECEMBER 2020:
Workaway guests are welcome again - as far as it is possible for you to travel...
Things to do this month: preparing the garden for the winter and chopping wood. So you are very welcome if you know how to use an axe or perhaps even a small chain saw.
German speaking guests welcome, who could perhaps help me to update my webside.

I'm always interested in exchanges to other people gaining experiences in permacultural gardening, medicinal herbs, self-sufficiency and sustainability projects. But if you are not that experienced yet, you are welcome to benefit from what you'll find here on my place.
As much as I love my country life, I also love to go sailing on the North Sea. So if you are also interested in that, you are welcome on board! (If not, you'll have all my property on your own for the weekend ;-)
You are very welcome to participate in my garden projects, if you like to work in the vegetable and herb beds, make firewood, renovate some small wooden buildings, perhaps construct a new one (simple carpentry).
Depending on your ideas regarding your stay, 4-5 hours per day is perhaps too much working hours. So we will be glad to talk about it, e.g. a "half work-half holiday-solution" (and if so, we could perhaps share a bit the expenses ;-) …)
You will get your own room for the time of stay. We share the bathroom and the kitchen.
I usually cook vegetarian food. If you need vegan food, it's no problem. If you need meat, I'm tolerant if it's ecological.
You may also use the little bio sauna, the fireplace, the Hollywood swing and all the other cosy places in my garden.
If it's suitable, there is also the possibility to spend your time in the old circus wagon (heated by fire).
During the last three years I had a lot of guests via bnb at home, which gave a lot of very nice experiences and precious exchanges. Now I'm pretty curious to get new impressions from workawayers.
