    Hello Workawayers!

My name is Vincenzo and I live in a farmhouse in the countryside of Bagheria, a few minutes from Palermo in Sicily. My house has a wonderful olive grove overlooking the sea and a small orchard.
I am a chef, local olive harvester, and a frequent traveler in the past.

My house is a happy house and I often organize small gatherings with friends. I love animals and there are 4 cats and 1 dog living in my house.

*No workaway guest will engage in sales of any service or product.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I will be happy to talk to you in Italian - the best way to learn a language is to speak it!
I enjoy cooking and with pleasure will involve you in a process of sharing my secrets to cook delicious italian dishes.
When harvesting olives, you will be able to see the whole process of olive oil making and work in hand with local farmers and other Workawayers.

  • Help

    Help

There are three types of areas where I am looking for Workawayers’ assistance based on the season. For each assistance I offer accommodation and homecooked meals:)

    1) Olive harvest
Period: beginning of October till middle of December
*For example, it means that if my calendar is available/green for October, I am looking for a person to help with the olive harvest.
Who am I looking for? People who enjoy being out in nature and who are interested in learning the process of olive oil making. You will work with other WorkAwayers and local farmers closely as a team. We will visit an olive oil factory to see the whole process. If you are responsible, nature lover, and appreciate being part of a community, this is the place for you! We leave the house for harvest at 07:00 or 09:00 depending on the day.
Hours: 5 hours ( We leave the house for harvest at 07:00 or 09:00 depending on the day).

    2) Housesitting of the country house Bellacera.
    Period: January-September
Who am I looking for? A responsible person who can take good care of feeding my animals and do light maintenance of the house (painting jobs, maintenance around, wood collection, light work in a garden). Please contact me for this listing only if you have a car driving license and are comfortable with driving. It is important you are independent while helping with house/pet sitting.
3)Housesitting of the country House Accia (light maintenance of the house).
    Period: January-September.

    4) Help with Marketing/Social media.
    Period: whole year
Who am I looking for? I am looking for a digital nomad or marketing enthusiast who can mentor me and give me lessons on how to improve my business's social media presence. I want to learn the skills myself, and in exchange, I can offer accommodation, meals, and a local cultural experience like cooking Italian food together.
