Description
We are a short walk into the local village and a ten minute drive to the fabulous kinsale with sailing and Ireland's best cafes and Restaurants. We are Sam and Sara with our two young boys 8 & 7 and a baby. We love the outdoors, sports, the beach, the woods and try to live a healthy lifestyle. Sam works in Finance and Sara is a functional Medicine doctor working online part time. Both of us work from home mostly. Sam travels sometimes. Our boys are in school and have activities some afternoons.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
My husband and I have both travelled all over the world and experienced many cultures. We know what it is like to visit a new country and how to feel welcomed. We are happy to advise on day trips around our area and are both keen surfers/cycle/sail/hike etc so you could borrow our sports gear if appropriate. Sara speaks some german and French. We have two cars and are often going into kinsale or cork if you wanted a lift with us to either place once work is complete,
You can join us for meals or eat separately as you prefer. -

Help
We are slowly building a garden from a field! We have 8 veg beds and lots of grass :) and sometimes make some small DIY changes inside the house like painting, upcycling furniture etc. We occasionally ask for some babysitting.

What else ...
Ballinspittle is a cute town with a deli, refill shop, craft shop, pub, restaurant etc. And Kinsale, nearby is a tourist haven - there are many historical sites including Charles fort, James fort etc. bus links to cork city and further west. You can use our bikes to cycle locally.

She is competent in many practical skills and kind and chatty.
We liked having her with us, she helped in the garden, kitchen and with painting and did a wonderful job.
She is independent and motivated
I reccomend hosting her if you can!
The work was cool, I painted the walls in a home, I cleaned the garden and planted the flowers...
I cooked for myself and the family sometimes, the food was very good and healthy (a lot vegetebal and fruit).

the time Ireland flew by whilst staying at yours. Really! We enjoyed the beach and the time with the kids! Also the view! It’s so amazing. And now we can brag about our painting and cooking skills. Thanks for the recipe inspirations.
We hope you had a nice holiday.
See you soon. :)

Initially they messaged me first and invited me to stay with them but due to my schedule I couldn't. But then, I needed to leave my host immediately due to some other circumstances and I messaged them out of despair and I came to them the same day I messaged them. … read more
