Description
We are Sonia and Ramón, and we are looking for a person, with English as a native language, to help our 9-year-old son, Manuel, to improve his language level, while playing and sharing time with him, staying in our house, located in Torrejón de Ardoz, a Madrid municipality near the capital, in a quiet and pleasant residential neighborhood.
Somos Sonia y Ramón, y buscamos una persona, con inglés como lengua nativa, que ayude a nuestro hijo, Manuel, de 9 años, a mejorar su nivel en el idioma, mientras juega y comparte tiempo con él, alojándose en nuestra casa, situada en Torrejón de Ardoz, municipio madrileño cercano a la capital, en un barrio residencial tranquilo y agradable.

The person who comes to our house will have the opportunity to get to know Madrid and participate in the cultural offer that it offers, since we live in a municipality an hour away by public transport from the capital (about 20 minutes walk to the Torrejón train station, and about 40 minutes from there to the Atocha station). In addition, Torrejón is a few kilometers from Alcalá de Henares, a World Heritage City. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the activities that we organize in the family during the weekend: cinema, theater, visits to exhibitions, museums, tourist walks through Madrid, visits to nearby towns, activities in the mountains, hiking, bike rides, ... We also offer you the possibility of conversing in Spanish if you want to practice the language.
La persona que venga a nuestra casa tendrá posibilidad de conocer Madrid y participar de la oferta cultural que ofrece , puesto que vivimos en un municipio a una hora en transporte público de la capital ( unos 20 minutos andando hasta la estación de tren de Torrejón, y unos 40 minutos desde ahí a la estación de Atocha ). Además, Torrejón está a pocos kilómetros de Alcalá de Henares, ciudad Patrimonio de la Humanidad.
Tendrá posibilidad también de participar en las actividades que organizamos en la familia durante el fin de semana: cine, teatro, visitas a exposiciones, museos, paseos turísticos por Madrid, visitas a pueblos cercanos, actividades en la sierra, senderismo, paseos en bici,...
Le ofrecemos, además, la posibilidad de conversar en español si quiere practicar el idioma.

Help
In the afternoon, from approximately 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., we would like you to be with our son, playing, reading, doing crafts, accompanying him to his extracurricular activities, etc. The idea is to share the afternoon with Manuel speaking in English.
En horario de tarde, de 15.30 a 19.30 aproximadamente, nos gustaría que estuviera con nuestro hijo, jugando, leyendo, haciendo manualidades, acompañándolo a sus actividades extraescolares, etc. La idea es que comparta la tarde con Manuel hablando en inglés.

Accommodation
We live in a detached house with a small garden and a swimming pool. The person who comes will stay in a bright room with a double bed, and will have their own bathroom outside the room. In addition, you can share all the rooms of the house with us (living room, garden, study) and the food, participating in the daily meals of the family as one more member. You can also do your laundry using the house laundry.
Vivimos en una casa unifamiliar con un pequeño jardín y una piscina. La persona que venga se alojará en una habitación luminosa con cama doble, y dispondrá de baño propio fuera de la habitación. Además, podrá compartir todas las las estancias de la vivienda con nosotros ( salón, jardín, estudio) y la comida, participando en las comidas diarias de la familia como un miembro más. También podrá hacer su colada usando el lavadero de la casa.
What else ...
La persona que venga a nuestra casa tendrá libre todas las mañanas, de lunes a viernes, y también los fines de semana completos. En ese tiempo podrá descansar en casa, disfrutar del barrio ( hay varios parques cercanos para pasear y hacer deporte), o aprovechar para visitar los pueblos cercanos o ir a Madrid.
