 - Description- We are 2 families that live on a homestead 15 minutes outside of 100 mile house in the Cariboo Region of British Columbia in Canada. We have cows, pigs, sheep, rabbits, chickens, hay fields, and a big garden. Lots of space to roam on our property, lakes and hiking close by, Wells Gray Park is an hour away.

 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- Learn about farming, farm animals and the homesteading life. We are happy to share our culture, religion, politics, language, family life and farm life with you and are happy to learn about your way of life as well.

 - Help- Gardening (planting, weeding, watering, harvesting), property maintenance (painting, pressure washing, fixing fencing), animal care (feeding, watering, moving, cleaning stalls, cleanup), irrigating fields, cutting wood.

 - Accommodation- We offer a 2 bedroom suite with 3 queen beds, a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet as well as a functional kitchen. We are happy to share a few meals together on a weekly basis. We have lots of meat and vegetables from our homestead that we are happy to share with you. Not all food will be supplies by us. 
 - What else ...- Locally their is lots of hiking and many lakes close by. Locals enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and boating in the summer. A small convenience store, gas station, post office, and restaurant are within walking distance. 100 mile house is the is the next closest town which is 15 minutes away. They offer bowling, grocery stores, a movie theater, as well as many shops and restaurants. We don't have bus service to town from our location but are willing to drive to town to grab supplies or for you to spend a day in town weekly.

Karla, Olivier, Paul and Heidi gave us a warm welcome and allowed us to discover the ranch and familiarize ourselves with every animal and the heavy machinery: it was our first time driving a tractor and operating chainsaw.
