  Description

  We offer English, French, and Spanish holiday camps for German children ages 6 to 15. Languages are not taught in the classroom, but instead through an informal setting of fun activities led in English, Spanish or French. You would lead the activities and organise the camp week. Our campsites are located in Germany in and around Berlin and Lower Saxony. Your training and first contact with camp life will be in Petzow, in a great campsite south of Berlin. If you are passionate about working with kids and being an energetic and responsible person at the same time, our camps are the right place for you!

  We are a very small, family-like business, and our counsellors are the heart of our team. You will work with experienced supervisors and fellow counsellors from around the world.
  
  We also provide free training and qualification through a full week of training and several online training sessions. You will learn a great deal about child and youth care, team building, creative programming, conflict management and more. You will improve your organisational skills and other skills important for counsellors. You will have the chance to receive constructive feedback on your performance. After your work period, you can receive a certificate that may help your future career.

  Help

  We require that you:
  
  ✓ are enthusiastic and passionate about working with kids!!!;
  ✓ are native or have native-level English, French or Spanish (according to the camp). A plus if you're bilingual;
  ✓ are available during July and August
  ✓ have knowledge or some experience in camp life, working with children and teaching English;
  ✓ are responsible and reliable and have excellent communication and organisational skills;
  ✓ are creative and spontaneous and inspire and motivate children. A plus if you have any specific skills such as graffiti, dance, acrobatics, music teaching, theatre, or any other skill that you want to implement in the camps.
  
  We offer you:
  
  ✓ free accommodation in your working weeks
  ✓ time to travel in between camps and sometimes a week off;
  ✓ payment based on the minimum wage in Germany;
  ✓ an international environment where you can make new acquaintances;
  ✓ a chance to learn a great deal about child and youth care with experienced supervisors
  
  IMPORTANT: You need a visa for Germany as well as a work permit (except if you are an EU citizen)! A work permit is easy to get if you are a university student during your summer holidays. If you are not a student, we can only offer you a volunteer position or a freelance contract. Unfortunately, if you are not an EU citizen, there is (nearly) no chance of getting a work visa as a freelancer. Therefore, we can only hire EU citizens or students, or accept volunteers. In addition to a valid visa and work permit, you´ll need an extended criminal record check and a first aid certificate. Normally, it takes up to three months to arrange all the paperwork. We need all documents by the end of April at the latest.

  Accommodation:
  During working weeks, we provide accommodation. During overnight camps, you will stay with the kids at the campsite, where full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) is included. At our day camps, you will stay in shared rooms with other counsellors, and lunch is included.
