Dates: 28th of June until 30th of August

Our family—Peter (originally from South Tyrol), Ana (Canadian), and our daughter Natty—live on a small mountain farm in the Italian Alps, at 1600m in the Dolomites. We share our home with eight cows, a dog, and two affectionate cats. ( We sadly cannot accommodate workawayers with pets)

After working for many years with an NGO in Tanzania, we made our home here in the mountains. We’ve had the joy of welcoming volunteers from all over the world and truly value the connections and cultural exchange that come from these experiences.

Peter has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which limits how much he can help with physical tasks. While we have local support with the cows, the gardens are mostly Ana’s responsibility, and she could use an extra pair of hands during the summer.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with others—especially our daughter Natty. She is 29 but functions at the level of a 5-year-old. She has an intellectual disability and epilepsy, and what she really thrives on is company and gentle engagement. She’s full of energy, loves singing, dancing, painting, going for walks, doing yoga on the lawn, and playing ball. She needs daily movement and lots of smiles.

English is essential for clear communication with Natty and our family. It would be a bonus if you also speak some German, as we’d love for Natty to hear and gradually learn more of the language in daily life.

Please only reach out if you’re sincerely open to spending meaningful time with Natty. While garden help is appreciated, her well-being and connection are our top priorities. For both your safety and hers, you’ll never be left alone with her.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, we’d be happy to hear from you and share more about life on our farm.
