Wendy and Alan discovered Workaway and contacted us spontaneously . We were their first hosts. They marketed themselves as hard workers and we were certainly not disappointed.
They undertook every task we gave them enthusiatically and intelligently. They were also genuinely interested in off grid living and exploring our unique area of Portugal.

We enjoyed a game of Mahjong , Alan helped us with Portuguese and Wendy taught Wendy some Chinese. We are so pleased they choose to have some of their adventure with us.
If this couple ever come your way, grab them with open arms and hide the chocolate biscuits.

Kevin and Wendy very kindly took the three of us in and our friend Craig during the persistent rain of spring (Something that we hadn't accounted for before arriving in Portugal) and allowed us to gently steam next to their wood stove and feel our shriveled hands come back to life.
We met Kevin outside of workaway and he invited us to come and

They invited us to park our van up and kindly cleared a space in their caravan which was being used as storage for Craig to shelter in. The information that we received from Kevin and Wendy was invaluable and they have continued to invite us along to events to meet more people in the local community and arranged a house sit for us.
They were very grateful for the work that I did for them but that was little in comparison to the continued hospitality that they have shown us.
Very highly recommended to anyone wanting to visit the area the Quinta is in a stunning location tucked away beneath many cork oaks and within walking distance of Monsanto.

What a lovely family. Jack, Jess and Lawrie were not scheduled workawayers. We invited them for a 'look see' when we met them at a neighbours. They stayed for several days and we are so glad they did. Incredibly bad weather meant that we had to work inside. Jack is a clever carpenter and helped us with a project we were a little scared to start on

Thanks to them we could realized our dream of seeing snow for the first time *_*. Introduced us to their friends and always helped us with anything we needed. Beacuse of the rain we couldn't

They were always offering us something to eat or drink and made us to feel at home. Wendy is like a second mum to us, always giving us good advices. They helped us a lot with language and we improved our english. We are very grateful for meeting them. That's was our first real workaway expirience and will never forget it.You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Nilton and Thatiana were a pleasure to host. They are hard working, funny and intelligent. They were flexible in their hours and happily took on any task we asked of them. We had bad weather during their stay so could not give them the work we would have liked to. Thatiana has excellent english and Niltons english improved greatly whilst they were

We took them sightseeing and introduced them to our friends for which they were very appreciative. They are welcome back here any time they wish.Feedback
