Description
I live at Mt Cotton which is a lovely friendly, leafy community (about 3000 residents) half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. I retired from work about 10 years ago and therefore have more time for doing the things I love which include, walking, keeping fit, gardening, meeting up with friends and family and volunteer work. Family is very important to me. I love meeting new people and hearing about their culture and customs. I also have a cat that is wonderful company but sleeps most of the time!

Help
The work is mainly gardening and landscaping-weeding, topping up garden beds with new soil, compost and mulching as well as replanting in some areas. There are hedges to be trimmed and lawn mowed. Preferably, I need someone with experience working in gardening /landscaping.
Also, some of my fences need renewing/ maintaining so would like someone with experience in this area.Languages

Mt cotton has great facilities including eateries, supermarket, doctor, dentist, chemist, gym etc as well as a beautiful park with great free fitness equipment , skateboard facilities and walking paths. The bird life is prolific and its not unusual to see wallabies or the occasional koala. All this only a 5 minute walk away.
The local bus goes hourly to the Logan Hyperdome a major shopping centre. From here you can travel to Brisbane and Gold Coast. Access to the Bay Island including Stradbroke Island with its beautiful white sandy beaches is just a 20 minute drive. Be on the lookout for whales, turtles, dolphins and dugong.A little more information
