  . 😁 I AM looking for preferably a MAN or a COUPLE who would like to experience living on a BEAUTIFUL GREEK ISLAND and help out with gardening, little maintenance and helping out with my down syndrome son. He is autonomous and is a young 42 years old, active, loves swimming, the beach, dancing and eating out, especially souvlaki. He has speech difficulties but speaks Italian and understands a lot of English as well.
  
  For the next 2 years probably he will be here full time so even though I have bed and breakfast in the summer I have reduced the rooms I rent and left a really nice room for my workawayers. So now I can host people ALL SUMMER!!
  
  IN the SPRING and FALL there is usually some sanding and painting furniture, putting the bamboo up on the pergolas and getting the place ready for guests. help with gardening , stacking wood, watering, feeding chickens and taking care of the coop etc. so these volunteers help more with maintenance than with my son. You can choose which job to do.
  
  IN the SUMMER from June till mid September the duties would consist of helping out with breakfast and keeping company with my son, talking him to the beach once a day and maybe out in the evening twice a week. The only other duties would be the chickens, their feeding, watering and coop and 2 times a week watering plants and trees.
  
  You will have plenty of time off to explore the island, swim and go out in the evenings. Seeing as you are eating full meals there will be some washing up , salad preparation etc.
  
  IF a couple I expect a little help with light cooking, especially for yourselves if you want to eat pasta etc I do have a dishwasher ;) if we are a lot of people for a meal. If you love cooking then that is also an opportunity to share in meal preparing.
  In the WINTER apart from a great bedroom I also have a separate apartment for a couple if its not rented out. I have EXCELLENT WIFI- starlink if anyone works online . The duties would be only supervising breakfast for my son and taking him out for a walk or a hike once a day and maybe some fun activity.
  
  WE offer room and board, the opportunity to learn Greek and/ or Italian or English. We are English/American but speak Greek and Italian as well.We are Christians. There are plenty of activities on the island, a gym, exercise classes, Greek dancing and walking trails. Amazing beaches , coves, places to explore and eateries!!
  
  WE eat all natural food, no processed food at all!! We love music and have a piano , also dancing and I participate in Greek dancing classes and there is a big 3 day festival traditional dance festival the fist weekend of July.
  
  You will have lots of free time to go to beaches and go out in the evenings, it WILL seem like a holiday!!! I look forward to hosting you,
  
  By the way, there is a boat company which leaves from Volos to Alonnisos. There is also another company that has a bus which leaves Athens and goes to Mantoudi, Evia and from there is a boat that is only 2 hours from Alonnisos and cheaper also.

  Here there are Greek dance classes and also yoga and a gym to work out in. There are many footpaths for walking around the island to visit secluded beaches and tiny churches, boat trips that visit secluded parts of the island and neighboring islands, one with a monastery. It is also the home of the seal Monachus and there is a male seal 2 years old called Billy that likes people and visits the beaches..

  Alonnisos is a beautiful island, part of the Sporades and the main area of the National Marine Park, where the monk seal is protected. It has beautiful beaches and the cleanest water ever!!!
