Just relocated to a classic older home in the beautiful seaside village of CASCAIS, one of the best towns in Portugal!
Needing help with painting, gardening, organizing, cleaning...
***We are eager to host INTELLIGENT, HIGHLY COMPETENT, agreeable people with GOOD MANNERS,
who work well independently.... I
***You must know how to BEHAVE POLITELY AS A GUEST in someone's home.
***YOU MUST BE A NEAT, TIDY, ORGANIZED PERSON...IF NOT, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!
We only host people who are traveling/on vacation, we do NOT host digital nomads/people who need to work remotely.
We live a LONGEVITY LIFESTYLE: organic food, yoga, holistic health and alternative healing etc, and prefer guests who are familiar with this way of living too, or are open to learning!
We have two CATS, who are in and out of the house.
We are in a GREAT LOCATION in the center of town, so you can walk to shops, restaurants, museums, beaches.
And we are just half an hour from Lisbon by train,
We offer a MAXIMUM STAY OF ONE WEEK. but a longer stay could be an option, if it works for both sides!
SPEAKING GOOD ENGLISH IS A REQUIREMENT. -

English spoken primarily, with some Portuguese, so you will have the opportunity to brush up on both of these languages.
Host was born in Portugal, and knows the Lisbon/Sintra/Cascais area well, and loves to share country’s beauty and fascinating history. Workawayers will earn about holistic living, natural health, nutrition, how to maintain a yard/garden, all in a beautiful, peaceful setting.
The study of natural healing and nutrition has been developing for years now, so you will learn a lot, just by observing and listening, and hopefully develop some good habits for a longevity lifestyle along with us! -
Help
Seeking interesting, forward-thinking energetic single Workawayers ( at this time, we are NOT able to host couples)
willing to help around the place generally: light housekeeping, cleaning and organizing, interior/exterior PAINTING projects, maintaining and improving the yard,
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST BE A TIDY, CLEAN, ORGANIZED, CONSCIENTIOUS person who puts things back in their place,
keeps their own space neat, completes tasks, and be willing to keep the house/yard in excellent condition, and running smoothly on a daily basis.
Your required help hours will usually take place in the mornings, from 9-12, but possible to be flexible, if either side needs an earlier or later time in the day, when things come up. -

Accommodation
Your own bedroom in a 2 bedroom , 1 .5 bathroom home. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. NO SMOKING and this is a CHEMICAL FREE home, so no perfumes, colognes, toxic cleaning and personal products etc.
Workawayers will be responsible for buying and preparing their own food, or eating out.
Organic natural foods co-op store nearby. We're happy to provide transport once a week to various markets .
The kitchen is very BASIC, at this time, so cooking simple meals is best. Dozens of cafes and restaurants nearby.
There is a nice patio and garden area behind the house with lounge chairs and outdoor dining area you can use. -
What else ...
Plenty of opportunity to enjoy Portuguese culture nearby - beautiful historical monuments and museums, shops. and gorgeous beaches.
Host has lots of good advice for the traveler!
It's only a 10 minute walk to the train or bus lines. -

She was neat, organized, eager to help, took the initiative, often anticipating what work needed to be done, even without my telling her sometimes. She was smart and fun and a pleasure to have in my home. She is welcome back any time, and I highly recommend her to any hosts!
I loved that she had all the instructions ready for me so I did not have to do a guesswork on what or how smth needs to be done.

She's upbeat and energetic, with a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend her as a workawayer, she was one of the best I have had here at the house to help out.
I had to do a deep cleaning of the cuisina, paint a wall, help her organise her stuff, i was basically helping her with the housework.
