Myself and the remnants of my non-commercial kennel moved from Florida to France in 2016. I have an apartment that requires renovation and two dogs with which I need a little support concerning their well-being.
Help in the house
It's a small, quaint town with the essentials with access to larger towns minutes away. It's about an hour to both Lyon and Geneva by train. Skiing possible in winter and other seasonal pursuits available. Good opportunity to improve or even start with French language.
Beautiful country for hiking and biking.
Primary chores are centered on the dogs' welfare, feeding and exercising. There may also be some ad hoc chores about the home but I'm pretty self-sufficient. Should volunteers wish to bring culinary experiences from their homeland, they might want to lend a hand in the kitchen too. If one is 'handy' and interested to assist with renovations that would be great!
Sometimes I have to travel with work so if there's anyone who is happy to take charge in my absence then even better. I'm flexible about arrangements that work for all of us.
Volunteers should have previous experience with larger dogs (32kg) and be confident around them. Both are extremely sweet.
