Description
First-Year Primary School Teacher Trainee in Wales, UK
I will be available to travel and help out from 6 July 2026. Feel free to message me if you are interested.
Hello!
My name is Edvard, and I have been living in Cardiff, Wales, for the past 16 years.
I am a fluent English speaker, a TESOL-qualified English teacher, and currently a first-year Primary school teacher trainee. Since 2015, I have been working with children and young people aged 5–16 across a variety of educational settings in Cardiff.
I have had the opportunity to work in many different schools, including mainstream primary schools, secondary schools, and special educational needs settings. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication, adaptability, and behaviour-management skills. While I enjoy working with learners of all ages, my favourite age group is primary-aged children. I enjoy building positive relationships with young people, helping them gain confidence, and seeing them make progress every day.
I am interested in joining either an educational project or a hostel-based project. I am passionate about supporting children's learning and development while continuing to grow as a future teacher, and I am equally enthusiastic about cultural exchange, meeting new people, and contributing to a welcoming community environment. Whether working with children, supporting guests, or assisting with daily activities, I enjoy building positive relationships and making a meaningful contribution wherever I am involved.
I am also interested in hostel and guesthouse projects, where I can combine my love of travelling with meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. Having travelled extensively throughout Europe on my own, I am confident in communicating with people from all walks of life and helping create a welcoming and positive atmosphere. I would be happy to assist with guest check-ins, reception duties, social activities, language exchange, and the day-to-day running of a hostel. I enjoy making people feel welcome, sharing local knowledge, and helping guests have a positive and memorable experience.
I would also welcome the opportunity to learn and practise the local language and culture while sharing my own language and experiences. I believe cultural exchange is one of the most rewarding aspects of travelling and working abroad.
I am friendly, approachable, reliable, and easy to work with. I enjoy meeting new people and creating a positive and supportive environment wherever I go.
Outside of education, I enjoy cycling, travelling, spending time with friends, and exploring new places and cultures.
During my work as a Teaching Assistant and teacher trainee, I have gained experience supporting children in a wide range of situations, both inside and outside the classroom. I am confident leading small and large groups and organising engaging activities. I have also worked at a children's summer camp in Spain and as a playworker in Cardiff. These experiences strengthened my ability to work with children from diverse backgrounds, lead activities, build positive relationships, and create a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.
I am always excited to learn new things. At the moment, I am particularly enjoying improving my Spanish and Welsh language skills.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I would be delighted to contribute to your project and look forward to hearing from you.
I can provide references from schools in the UK and hold a current DBS certificate (or can obtain one if required).
Kind regards,
Edvard -
