    Description

We are based in Kerela, and are a group of travellers from different places of India, trying to build a community place in Varkala. It's a cozy Cliff and beach town, which has everything beaches, sunsets, cafés, music, yoga and a wonderfully laid-back vibe, backwaters where people can go kayaking, a cliff from where they can do paramotoring.

As hosts, you will meet our group, we are traveling in India for many years and got bored out of our remote jobs, so we all planned this cute venture for ourselves, where we are looking to make memories and meet many travellers around the globe.
We love travelling, meeting people from different cultures, discovering new places and creating spaces with good energy. This is our attempt to bring all of that together with a little Kerala, a little adventure and a lot of heart.

It is a small boutique property created to be a place where travellers can slow down, connect, share stories and feel at home. The property is located in a peaceful and safe locality and quite near to the south cliff and beach which is very less crowded, where we go for ritualistic sunset walks, have cricket playoffs or maybe a cute picnic. We have two aunties working with us whom we call "chechi" that is malayam for older sister.

We’re looking for Workawayers who are friendly, responsible, creative and full of initiative to help us build this place from guest interaction and social media to activities, events and creative projects. We have a separate volunteers AC dorms and a open kitchen to offer to our fellow travellers.

If you enjoy meeting new people, trying new things, having random conversations over chai and being part of something that’s still growing, you’ll probably feel right at home here.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our team comes from different parts of India and are open minded travellers who love to share stories, experiences and their cultural backgrounds. We love to celebrate every festival with enthusiasm and participate in the local carnivals, religious and spiritual gatherings to understand the practices of others.

Kerala's cultural traditions can easily be explored through beautiful houses, temples, chapels & other places of worship, knowledge of Ayurvedic practices, yoga, meditation and other spiritual paths. Local fishing style, local food and local architecture is a steal.

You will get to experience the fun side of community life, meet travellers from different parts of the world, explore Varkala together, share meals, music, random conversations and probably a few spontaneous plans.

We would like to share everything we have learned about hospitality, running a small property and surviving the beautiful chaos of building a project from scratch. In return, we would love to learn about your culture, food, travel stories, skills and the way you see the world.
We are looking for good people, good energy and a little bit of adventure. Come as a volunteer, leave as a family member.

As a Workawayer, you get to understand how to enjoy slow living, be in harmony with nature , since we are travellers as a Workawayer s can take help in planning their travels trips to other part of the country as well. Considering India is big cultural place for a backpacker and fellow travellers.

As a Workawayer you will get access to all property amenities, and moreover you will be part of our small family if you wish to.
We are looking for people to help us oldies set up social media accounts, some one who loves to interact with guests and handle their queries and organise group activities like a game night, or a beach walk or maybe some cleanup drives and maybe paint murals to leave your mark on our walls. Also we would love to host artists who love to play music, photographers, painters or story tellers, yoga enjoyers and coffee lovers.

Even though we are not looking professionals, we want to create a space for fellow travellers where every person can contribute and feel like family.
As host we are also learning new things everyday, we are looking to curate a safe space for young travellers who can enjoy community based living.
Any and every art is appreciated.
They can also help us with new ideas or visions for the property as we are in a building stage and the whole project will only move with community opinion.
