Me (fem. 66) and a friend (male) we share a house (spatially divided) where we live a modestly life, apart from a village in the countryside in quiet scenery.

Accommodation is 1 room for your own, with big bed (for two) and good, new bedding. Wooden furnitures (No IKEA!).
I offer (organic) homemade, fresh meals. Mainley plant based. Fruits, vegetables, eggs...from our own mini-farm. Milk products from an organic farm nearby.
Consideration for nutritition intolerances, religious and ethical reasons.
In addition to that, there is no extra cooking, nor self cooking for guests.
Zero food waste pls :-)

You are free to do excursions of more days, and I can be helpful for your adventures.
Think of your stay here as a base camp from which to organize your travels. Austria has eight neighboring countries that are easily and affordably accessible.
My preferred arrangement is three days of work followed by four days off, which you should use to travel and explore.
Here we are in a hilly, quiet landscape, you can enjoy nature pure from the doorstep by walking, hiking, biking.....
The famous Danube cycle path also close-by.

Thanks to them I got to know the places which I had no idea about before, e.g. concentration camp Mauthausen. Waltraud and Franz are wonderful, pleasant, intelligent hosts, with very interesting Lebensgeschichte. Friendly, welcoming, sincere.. I enjoyed the fruitfull discussions we had together. I think I owe Waltraud and Franz a lot, and am very thankful for having a chance to get to know them. Time here was very prescious to me. Very recommended place:)
