Kaithlyn: 12. May - 31. May + 1. July - 31. July
Hello, my name is Julia. I am a teacher, married to Thomas, and the mother of two young daughters aged one, named Helena, and three years, Selina. Our family residence is located in the Salzkammergut region, at a walking distance of approximately two minutes from Lake Attersee. Daily life is characterized by continuous views of the lake and the surrounding alpine landscape. It is a top holiday destination! Our neighbors, for example, run a guesthouse- meaning many people come here for vacation!
The region is widely known for its exceptional natural environment, which is considered to be particularly impressive. A broad range of sporting and outdoor activities is available in the immediate vicinity, including mountain biking, swimming, mountaineering, skiing, and related pursuits, all of which can be accessed directly from the place of residence. In addition to recreational opportunities, numerous cultural offerings are present around Lake Attersee, throughout the Salzkammergut, and in the nearby city of Salzburg.
Public transportation connections by bus and train are available and allow access to the surrounding areas, although mobility is generally more convenient and easier when a private vehicle is used.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
After I had completed the Matura, I spent a year working as an au pair in Spain, living with a kind family and caring for their three young sons. I deeply appreciated this special period of life, and I am looking forward to give something back I received, so that you are able to benefit from us while staying with us.
I loved travelling to various countries before having children, getting to know other cultures, traditions and connecting with people from all over the world. These were very enriching experiences and moments for me.
Social activities are integrated into our family life and offer opportunities for connection with both the household and the local community. Shared meals, daily routines with our children, and joint leisure activities such as walks by Lake Attersee, outdoor sports, or excursions in the Salzkammergut region form a natural basis for social interaction. Participation in local events, cultural activities, and community life in the surrounding villages, as well as occasional visits to Salzburg, further enables contact with regional traditions and social networks.
A range of skills and practical knowledge can be shared within the hosting environment. These include experiences related to childcare, family organization, and household management, as well as everyday practices of living with our young children. In addition, knowledge concerning gardening, the cultivation of fruit and vegetables, and sustainable, nature-oriented living in an alpine region is conveyed. Insights into Austrian culture, customs, and family life are also shared through daily interaction.
By hosting people from different cultural backgrounds, intercultural learning and mutual understanding are hoped to be fostered. New perspectives on family life, social interaction, and cultural practices are expected to be gained, along with a deeper appreciation of diversity and alternative ways of living. Such exchanges are regarded as enriching and as a valuable contribution to openness, learning, and cultural awareness.

Help
You should...
- be a woman between 18 and 70
- not smoke
- not use electronic devices in front of our children or during helping hours
- be patient, reliable, diligent, ambitious, motivated
- enjoy cleaning the house
- enjoy playing with our children
- stay between 1 week and several months (longer stays are welcome and preferred!)
We would be very happy, if you could help me in everyday life with my little girls.
At present, additional assistance is particularly needed, as an anterior cruciate ligament injury was sustained while skiing at the beginning of the year, resulting in certain activities no longer being possible to the same extent as before.
Support would mainly be required in household-related tasks, especially in the cleaning and general maintenance of the house (cleaning of bathrooms and toilets, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning of windows, cleaning of the kitchen, etc.)
In addition, supervision of the children and engagement in play activities with them would form an important part of daily routines. This tasks will also be desirable and require that the necessary experience and affection for children are present!
If you enjoy cooking together with the children, creative freedom in the kitchen is gladly permitted as well, providet that everything is cleaned up again. ;-)
A large garden is also part of the property, where fruit and vegetables are cultivated with great enthusiasm. Gardening tasks are regularly required, and support in this area would be warmly appreciated.
In most cases, support would be provided from Monday to Friday, while Saturdays and Sundays would generally be free. Please be a bit flexible about that.
An opportunity to get to know one another is greatly anticipated, and it would be a pleasure to introduce and share the many appealing aspects of the surrounding natural environment. You are more than welcome to join me and the kids in your free time anytime!
A longer stay of a couple of weeks or several months would be highly appreciated. Furthermore, a non-smoking lifestyle is considered an important requirement.

Accommodation
The house is spacious, and a private room with an en-suite bathroom is provided in order to ensure sufficient privacy.
If preferred, accommodation outdoors is also possible. A large parking area as well as ample space on the meadow are available for camping or for setting up a tent.
What else ...
Consideration and respect for shared living arrangements are regarded as essential. As the children go to bed early, a quiet atmosphere in the house is required during the evening hours and nights. In addition, a tidy and clean approach to shared spaces and daily routines is expected. Furthermore it is expected that you LIKE CLEANING THE HOUSE- there is always a lot of cleaning to do. Furthermore, it is prerequisite that you really LOVE LITTLE KIDS and that you have a big disire spending time with them. During the working period, meals will be taken together. During leisure time, feel free to undertake excursions and explore the surrounding area. Of course you are very welcome to spend your free time with us!
