Hello nature lovers, builders, artists, and dreamers!
Welcome to our vibrant community nestled in the beautiful town of Bernau, Brandenburg, surrounded by enchanting forests and lakes, yet only a stone’s throw from Berlin. We are a group of creatives, activists, and nature enthusiasts who share a passion for building a sustainable and joyful space for living, working, and growing together.
We live in our house since around 6 year, so there is plenty of room for growing with creativity and craftsmanship to make that place even more magical. We have a big oudoor property with Garden, a halfway done Sauna, a to finish Polyvalent Room for seminars, Movies, Parties and Ping-Pong, A hot tub, a big workshop for woodworking and 2 ducks.
Who is 'We'?
"We" are a group of diverse adults living together in a shared home:
Ryke (36): Artist, photographer, doula, and mother of Nebel (1) (daughter of both Ryke and Max).
Max (28): Biologist, part-time activist, and proud father of Nebel (1).
Sissi (32): Tree doctor, nature enthusiast, and passionate about jam sessions.
Nico (28): Forest grower and movement lover.
Kat (25): Musician and mother-to-be.
Hugo (32): Father-to-be and creator of beautiful music.
Kieran (42): A fairy design creature and the moral flame of the group
What We’re Working On: Our home is an ongoing creative project! Here are some of the things you can get involved in:
Outdoor Projects:
Finish building our outdoor kitchen and sauna.
Repair the greenhouse.
Improve the garden and outdoor spaces.
Indoor Projects:
Work on improving the kitchen and living spaces.
Activate our polyvalent room for seminars, parties, and more.
Take part in fermenting veggies and other fun projects in the kitchen.
Childcare and Household Chores:
Help care for the children, including babysitting and organizing activities.
Assist with household tasks like laundry and cooking meals.
In the future, we hope to launch a vegan café with fermented foods, create a space for workshops and events, and organize regular community gatherings.
Peu à peu, we will make Brandenburg a little more colourful. Join the party !
With love ,
A few humans that would love to meet you !

Rules of the Stay:
Minimum Stay: 2 weeks (with some flexibility). After the first 10 days, we will discuss whether extending your stay works well for everyone.
Group Meetings: We hold a plenum every week. Please make sure to be home for this, as it’s important for our group to stay connected.
Meals: We provide one cooked meal daily (mostly dinner). You’re welcome to join the cooking roster. For other meals, feel free to cook what you find—we offer mainly vegan food, with some cheese and eggs. If you want meat or sweets, you’ll need to purchase them yourself.
Bicycles & Bedding: Bicycles are available for borrowing, and we provide all bedding. If you prefer sleeping in a hammock, feel free (someone’s already tried it!).
Departure: Preferably on a weekend.
----------------
Skills We Appreciate: If you have experience with woodworking, electrical work, welding/metalwork, plumbing, or childcare, we would love to have your expertise! But no worries if you don’t—enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as valuable. Even clowns, performers and dreamers are welcome here! :)
P.S. We stand in solidarity with those affected by conflicts around the world, including in Armenia, Ethiopia, Libanon, Israel, Mali, Myanmar, Nigeria, Palestine, Rojava, Syria, Sudan, Ukraine, and Western Sahara. Peace is needed everywhere.Types of help and learning opportunities

There are several options for sleeping, free rooms in the house, small cabin in the garden (that may need a bit of love before though haha) or you can bring your own tent or camper.
What else ...
Important: we start with a stay of 2 weeks and then extension is of course possible. But since we are quite a few people its important for us that the energy is right :)
Nobody is forced to help any specific hours, you can take days off as you wish, just be thought- and respectful, walk around with your eyes open and enjoy the tasks you do, if you hate helping with your hands there is no point of coming to a place that tries to live of the land and garden :)
There are a lot of beautiful lakes and forests around, easy to get to by bicycle. City of Bernau is 10 minutes by bike, but theres also a busstop right in front of the house. Berlin is super close too :) And of course the city has everything to offer one can dream of.A little more information
