Last year I got to spend 7 weeks in Ireland, but unfortunately things weren't going great with my first host. I started to look for another opportunity after 3 weeks and I am so grateful that Amanda contacted me!
I did not plan to stay with a family where I would mainly look after the children, but Amanda and her family made my stay special. I
… read more felt like a family member and even the children's grandparents were lovely. We did a lot of trips together with the Zach and Farah and Amanda showed me some really nice places around their home.
I would describe Zach and Farah as typical twins: sometimes they stick together and sometimes they just want to be on their own. It only took Zach and Farah some days to get familiar with the new situation, but they are used to have an Aupair or Workaway at their home. The tasks generally focus on the children, getting them ready for school or bed time, playing with them and making them food. But you also get to do some household tasks like doing the laundry or hoovering.
They also have to cats which are lovely! Until I met them as kittens last year, I was a bit afraid of cats. But Cherry and Tadghi got into my heart straight away.
Amanda's husband Lar is working a lot but never fails to put a smile on your face! He brought me sweets or surprised me with tea and crackers in the evening and I could also help him to practice for his drama group.
The last two weeks of my stay another girl from Workaway, Victoria, joined me and I am grateful that we could spend some days together.
I will visit Ireland this year together with my boyfriend and I am excited to visit Amanda, Lar, Zach & Farah! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I've spent three months with a lovely Irish Family, wich is related to Amanda and the twins. We did some trips to the beaches with both the families or visited each other. I really enjoyed playing on the trampolin or building castles of sand with Zach and Farah. They both just love it, if someone plays with them. I've also met the Aupair who was

In addition, we both could visit a school in Rosscarberry which was really helpful for our improvement in the English language. I would definitely recommend both the families to every person who loves children and is interested in the nature of Ireland. Every time we've met they were so kind and I am sure you would feel as a part of the family soon. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
