Hi there;
We are Alex (47) Florian (15) and Simon (13). We have been travelling for years and found our place in the Barguillere valley near Foix / Ariege (3 minutes by car or a 30 minutes walk from Foix) in the country side. Since 2007 we run a cocoa and chocolate business in cooperation with our partners in Ecuador.
We are easy people, used to have lots of folks around, the kids are very open to people but do only speak some basic English and Spanish (they are fluent in French and German and actually Florian gets along quite well with English and Spanish)
We expect our helpers to be part of the family which means that we are offering more than just a working place: we always invite you to our leisure time activities as well as to come with us to parties and so on. But this also means that you take part in normal life in the house. We expect people to be able to take on work and tasks independently and to be able to integrate in family life.
We do have animals so if you have any allergies, we cannot host you. We also appreciate if you inform us when contacting us if you have a special diet.
From now on and over this summer I am planning to do a lot of different stuff in and around the house where I could do with some help...
We can host up to 4 people from now onwards until late september...

Accommodation
The upper floor of the barn has been divided in two compartments (divided with curtains), it is a kind of a dorm-camping atmosphere. One site of the barn is open to nature. We've put up beds, and furniture so it is actually quite cosy. Anyway you can use the rest of the house as well, so the barn is just for sleeping.

We are living in the Ariege in the Pyrenees, 5 min drive from Foix, 30min walk
You can do everything here: hiking, climbing, flying, canoe and kayak, for those interested in history you have lots of castles, the prehistoric paintings, caves to explore and so many things more, it is a great place.
