Description
Our micro farm is located in a small village of the Blavet's valley completly in the countryside as we were looking for peace and quiet.
Although we are in the countryside we are around 30km from the Morbihan's Gulf beaches, and a few km from a leisure park. We also often go down to the river or the beach when it's too hot to work. However we also have some amazing walks in the area around us. Bikes are available if you want to discover our site :)
We have a family farm which means that we live together in different houses across the property helping and supporting one another. There are the grandparents, myself and my husband and son, and also my brother.
We lived in Paris, running all the time, working locked up in offices and we decided 10 years ago to move to Brittany and change our lives!
We raise all sorts of animals such as sheep, pigs, chickens, geese and ducks. We have a large and thriving vegetable garden and polytunnels. Our farm is under the eye of our 3 big dogs who are very loveable and gentle!
We use permaculture methods for growing and raise our animals outdoors, because we can't stand the use of pesticide or seeing the animals shut indoors.
We are looking for help with our home garden and animals that we keep for our own consumption.
We will welcome you in a confortable 2 bedrooms renovated mobilhome for several weeks or less in order to share farming techniques or breeding and to share tasks like feeding, fenced repairing, picking etc..
We would also share lunch or dinner together, if you are vaccinated, and If not, you will always find something to eat in the cupboard/fridge or you can forage from the garden.
We like to promote cultural exchange, and we speak English/Spanish so we love hosting people from across Europe, sharing our knowledge and skills and inviting you to share yours with us too. That's why we would welcome foreign people with interest! We could learn a lot from each others.
To do well, we would prefer a dynamic and motivated person, or a couple with minimum experience, that is eager to learn, who is keen to work with and look after animals and help out in the vegetable garden, plus lot of other projects such as fencing, bulding houses for pigs or gates etc...
