We are a Caribbean family from Guadeloupe living in Serris (near Disneyland Paris). Our household includes two parents, a 20-year-old brother, our two children (8 and 2.5 years old), and our friendly dog, Spice.
We lead an multicultural lifestyle, speaking both French and Creole at home. We value warmth, sharing homemade meals, and mutual respect. We are looking for a responsible and independent person to join our family dynamic and support us in our daily routine.

Staying with us is an opportunity to experience a unique blend of cultures. You will benefit from:

Help
We see our Workawayer as a new member of the family. We are looking for someone who wants to share our daily rhythm and contribute to our home's positive energy for about 25 hours per week.
Our exchange is based on three main pillars:
• Language & Culture Sharing: We would love for you to spend time with our children (8 and 2.5 years old) at home, interacting with them exclusively in your native language. Whether it’s through playing, reading stories, or singing, the goal is natural immersion.
• Daily Family Life: As we prioritise homemade and healthy food, we’d love for you to join us in the kitchen! We can share recipes and help each other with light daily tasks to keep our shared spaces tidy and pleasant for everyone.
• Animal Connection: Our dog, Spice, is a full member of the family. She would be delighted to have you join her for her daily walk in the neighbourhood.

Language transmission is a priority in our home. We speak French and Creole daily and would be happy to share them with you. In return, we would love for you to speak exclusively in your native language with our children (through play, stories, and songs). For us, this is the most beautiful way to foster an open mind.
Accommodation
Our guest will have a private bedroom in our family apartment in Serris.
The bathroom is shared with the family.
We are lucky to have a large 60m² terrace, which makes apartment living very comfortable and pleasant. Unlimited Wi-Fi is available.
What else ...
We are a family that values a natural and healthy lifestyle, though we are still on a journey and far from perfect!
• Our Natural Rituals: We enjoy using simple alternatives like coconut oil for dental care, and black soap, clay, or essential oils for hair and body care.
• In the Kitchen: We are 'homemade' enthusiasts. We prepare our own infusions (cinnamon, bissap, rosemary) and bake our own biscuits. We prioritize whole foods and are transitioning to glass containers, though we still have some plastic ones! We avoid most processed foods, but we aren't strict—there is always a jar of Nutella in the cupboard for treats! 🤣
We believe in balance.
• Eco-Cleaning: We prefer using white vinegar and essential oils for the house rather than harsh chemicals.
