Description
I hope you could help me to continue to renovating my old house (1753) this year and I need help, général maintenance, gardening, meal preparation, painting, artist painting also, plasterboard ,... or something we'll find usefull. Sometimes I stay at my girlfriend house, 5 km away. So perhaps you'll stay with me to help with gardening, general maintenance, pait,... I live in a little village near the forest. I am a native-born Belgian who has lived in France since 2011. I have green house but my garden is always plenty of weeds.
I ama father of 3 boys (34, 32 and 30 years old). They live in Belgium and occasionally in the Vosges in my home.
I experienced workaway life as a worker in Scotland in July 2018.
I make sometimes my bread. I have my own source of pure water.
I am a member of an association that maintains an old saw mill.
In order to show you how it works, I would demonstrate it to you by cutting 1 wooden board.

I try to to grow vegetables through a greenhouse made with big branches of hazel and next door, a vegetable garden (cabbages, salads and lot of weeds !! )
the railway station of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges is not far from my house. I can fetch you there, or if you have your own car, it is a 10 minute drive. You can take a bus or train to Nancy or Strasbourg, and from there it is an hour ride to Saint-Die-des-Vosges, very easy.

I hosted this wonderful girl for 3 weeks. She is very friendly and a very good painter. She drew wonderful decors in my house. She is very helpful. She cooks well and knows how to maintain a house. She's going to take a pastry course in September. You'll probably be treated to some delicious desserts. I highly recommend her.

I'm sorry I'm so late writing this! My friend, Grace, and I stayed with Guy as a last minute host last September. He was the very first host we stayed with, and it was a great experience. He was so much fun and very accommodating. Plus, he makes great bread! :) We had a wonderful time!

Guy is great man, really easygoing,kind,always laugh and completely friendly, big chef and relax boss ;) I stay in Guy's house for a month and we can finish one room of his wonderful house. I hope that he finish to renovation of house really soon and come to Iran for eat original Tahdig :)))

Such a very good experiment with Malvin and Hasiq.
They are very good guys, with a lot of humour. But they can work very hard even if the work is a little bit painful (nettles). They cooked me very fine meal of their country, spicy and very nice.
They were the first Asians i met, and i won't forget them.

My first workaway couldn't have been better! Guy is a very coo guy and a great cook. I stayed with him for two weeks, helping him around the house. He helped me practice French and taught me how to play 421 and to bake bread. I had a really great time and hope to visit again some day.

I had the greatest time at Guy´s place, I think we could manage to get along really well and to get some work done around the house. He left me do tasks that I enjoyed and also he showed me around Mandray. I practiced a lot of French and gained around 5 kilos because he makes great bread haha. Merci pour tout! Á bientôt!

Sheila est une personne qui s'investi dans le travail qu'on lui a donné, elle prends aussi de bonnes initiatives. Elle parle un français correct et est très facile à comprendre. My boyfriend Jori and I stayed with Guy for 10 days and had a wonderful time! There were bicycles for us to use in our free time and beautiful surroundings easy to acces. Guy was accommodating and kind. There was always plenty to do for everyone, and the food was great!
