Retired lawyer with partner and no children or animals looking for help and general maintenance in the community and in exchange board and lodging and a chance to learn the English language and the history of the UK.
We live in a beautiful area of Wiltshire in the southwest of England. I am living with my male partner. We are two retired professional people, I was a lawyer and he was a pilot and still passionate about aviation.
We are both very relaxed people, enjoying walks in the countryside, travel, meeting new people and interested in the arts.
We have been renovating our farmhouse over the last three years and have recently finished the main house and are now embarking on a project to convert our garage to a studio.
We would like to offer the opportunity to stay with us in return for helping out around the house generally and maybe being able to help with some building and renovation work, we would provide food and accommodation in the house, some good company and an introduction to the area.
The house is in a very rural part of Wiltshire and close to the Roman city of Bath (20 minutes by car) and also the trendy market town of Frome (voted one of the most desirable places to live in the UK). There is a train station and bus service in our village and shops within walking distance.

Help around the house
Improve language and an exchange of cultures with learning on both sides.
The volunteer can benefit from a cultural exchange by learning more of the customs of the UK and by improving their English.
They can visit all the wonderful sights in Wiltshire and farther afield if they wish to travel and as a result, they can learn from their experience
We are looking for a workawayer to come and stay with us in a delightful Wiltshire Village.
We are looking for helpers to help around our farmhouse and gardens and general assistance in helping with some decorating, maintenance and odd jobs.
We would expect some help around our farmhouse of no more than 20 hours per week. You will get at least 3 days off each week in order for you to travel the UK or visit friends during your off time.
You will get three meals a day and maybe a local beer or two! We can also teach culinary skills where necessary.

Our Wiltshire village is located close to the Westbury White Horse and has excellent transport links. This is a lovely part of southern England and a good base to travel.
