    Description

Hello, I'm Pablo, 43, and I've lived in a handful of countries for various periods of time and am at the moment staying at this place in Southern Denmark near the German border. To me as well, its a stop on the journey (a long 9 year stop), and I find it to be such a small treasure that I want to create a place for like minded people to stop even if I am to leave here in the future. There's a fair sized house, three camping trailers and 17.500m2 of land laid out as gardens with mature fruit trees, a small wood, and a field that's being turned into a food forest with "rooms"/areas for events of different sorts.

I'm participating in starting up and evolving a countywide community where we help each other with skills, time, produce etc. (UBUNTU - One Small Town related).

I speak Danish and English fluently. And some Spanish, German and Japanese with a little concentration.

As I at the moment do not eat much, always plant based and only rarely cooked meals you will be responsible for your own cooking. I regularly collect out of date food from the super markets which you are free to use when available.

You'll have complete freedom to manage your day and tasks so you can be here with peace of mind. You will perhaps get to meet other workaway's and a lot of people focused on improving the world we live in as I often hold small events or people just pop by. I sometimes hold bon fire gatherings in connection with the moon cycles or just because I/we feel like it. I'll also invite you to join events like these in other places when possible. You will hopefully, when you move on from here, feel like you have left your stamp on the place.

!!! August is fig season !!!

  • Help

    Help

Help forming my place into OUR place. A place that people like yourself would like to visit in the future. A vibrant place of mindfulness that will inspire our neighbours that there is an alternative to the hamster wheel. A place for events with the intention of lifting the world's energy.

More concretely your help could be sharing your own skills and knowledge with myself and other work-away's, maintaining the field and garden, help refurbishing the house (urgently need someone good at laying bricks), taking care of the cats (x3) while I'm away, chopping wood (have axe or machines so everyone can do it!), refurbishing the camping trailers, building a toilet trailer, putting up green houses, introducing daily practices, improving this work away profile and leaving your touch for future visitors. If you stay longer you could also be creating events here. Or anything else that you could imagine doing with the place.

For the person with the right vision and energy the self-catering annex could become available for a long stay once the main house is finished.

    Accommodation

For the moment there are two empty camping trailers of a regular size. One in better condition than the other but both livable and dry. Once we get the old part of the house done there will also be indoor accommodation. A separate part of the house contains the bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen well stocked with food, fresh, dry and frozen which the work-away is free to use, cook and eat.

    What else ...

We are only a short 8-10 minutes walk from the sea and and beach (Baltic sea) and 15 minutes drive from town. There's a bus from our front door every hour throughout the day. The town we are located in is a friendly seaside community of 300 people. The main town is a bigger town with plenty of supermarkets and other amenities and entertainment.

The cats here are the first priority. They are very friendly towards other cats but do not like dogs with too much energy.
