  Description

  We are a family from a small town on the Baltic Sea coast, located 200km from the capital of Latvia, Riga.
  Two of our oldest boys have already left home, the youngest is still at school.
  We like to do handicrafts in various fields.
  I like carpentry. I spend my free time renovating a wooden building in the city.
  My wife is passionate about eco-printing and knits nice jackets.
  Liepāja is a quiet but at the same time active city between the sea and the lake. On the seashore, you can relax and enjoy the sea air saturated with the scent of pine trees.

  We like to go out into nature in our free time, to walk in the forest. My wife is good at cooking quick and tasty meals. My younger son can teach Latvian and teach someone else.

  Help

  Tasks include gardening, mowing the grass, light house maintenance (such as painting), and occasional cooking. Ideal candidates will have a green thumb and an appreciation for nature, while artistic skills or a passion for cooking diverse cuisines would be a great bonus. If you're a guy with DIY skills, you can help finish unfinished work on a greenhouse, shed, or elsewhere.
  During the winter period We want the 13-year-old boy to get away from computer games and gain other types of experiences, and most importantly, gain better knowledge of any language.

  Accommodation

  At the moment, my middle son is trying out a job in Riga and we have his room available.
  
  We will host the volunteer in our home and offer to participate in meals that we enjoy ourselves. Our work activities mostly take place at home, so we eat all meals during the day - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The volunteer will not be denied the opportunity to use our kitchen to prepare their own meals for their own consumption or to share them.

  We are a couple over 50, but we are young at heart. We will be happy to gain new experiences ourselves and will try our best to show the magic of our neighborhood.
