    Description

Two years ago, we moved from Latvia’s capital, Riga, to the countryside, settling in a stunning historical location near Gaujiena. Our home, built in 1891, and the barn, dating back to 1900, hold a wealth of history. We cherish the many historical artifacts we've discovered here and dream of creating a home museum to honor and preserve this heritage.

Just beside our house lies a beautiful lake, offering opportunities for camping, swimming, and sports. Looking ahead, we envision transforming our place into a camper service hub, providing a peaceful retreat where people can unwind and reduce everyday stress.

My husband, Viljar, is a children's camp leader, primarily working in Estonia, our neighboring country. I’m Ilva, and I work mainly from home, facilitating systemic sessions, as well as preparing and conducting various seminars and training programs.

Our household is also home to five cats and a dog. While living in Riga, I actively supported an animal shelter and provided temporary homes for stray cats. Now, with more space, we see the potential to establish our own animal shelter.

Viljar, a skilled carpenter, owns a variety of tools and dreams of creating a workshop where children can learn the art of woodworking.

Together, we have six children—four have already started their own independent lives and families, while two are still in high school.
