Description
Hi! We are a young family of four living in the beautiful Latvian countryside with our twin toddlers.
A few years ago, we made the decision to leave city life behind and start creating a slower, simpler and more meaningful life surrounded by nature. Every year we learn something new as we build our small homestead—growing vegetables, improving our garden, taking care of our home and enjoying the changing seasons.
Life here is real and sometimes messy. Our days are filled with muddy boots, children’s laughter, home-cooked meals, gardening, endless little projects and lots of time outdoors. We don’t expect perfection, and we certainly don’t have a perfect farm—we’re simply building our dream one step at a time.
We love meeting people from different countries and believe that cultural exchange is one of the best parts of travelling. We hope anyone who stays with us feels like part of the family rather than just a volunteer.
We value kindness, honesty, respect, open communication and a good sense of humour.
We are Christian and start our day with morning prayers before breakfast. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We offer a private place to stay, home-cooked meals, fresh country air and the opportunity to experience everyday life on a Latvian homestead.
If you enjoy nature, simple living, meaningful conversations, learning new skills and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, we think you’ll feel at home here.
My husband drives to the capital vert often so he could drive you there to roam around sometimes.
The following cities are a bus ride away- Jelgava, Tērvete, Dobele.
We’re not a luxury destination, and life here can be busy and unpredictable with two little ones running around. But if you’re looking for a genuine family experience, peaceful countryside, beautiful sunsets and a chance to slow down, we’d love to welcome you.
We look forward to meeting you! 🌿🤍 -

Help
Most of the help is around our homestead and daily life. Depending on the season, this may include:
• Gardening and weeding
• Planting or harvesting vegetables
• General outdoor projects
• Helping keep the property tidy
• Simple household tasks when needed
• Dog and housesitting on few occasions
From time to time, we’d also really appreciate someone who enjoys spending time with children. This doesn’t mean being a full-time babysitter—just occasionally playing with our twin toddlers or keeping them company while we work in the garden or take care of other projects. Experience with children is a bonus, but patience, warmth and a caring personality are much more important.
Because we have young children living in our home, we feel most comfortable hosting women. -
