    Description

We are a friendly family living on the beautiful Atlantic Coast of Ireland – surrounded by stunning scenery, fresh sea air, and peaceful countryside. It’s a truly special place to experience Irish rural life.

We’re looking for a kind, responsible and reliable person to join our home and become part of our daily family life for an initial 6-week stay (with the possibility to extend if it suits everyone).

Our days are a mix of family time and rural living, and we would really appreciate an extra pair of hands with:
    • Spending a few hours a week minding our sweet 15-month-old twin boys
    • General household cleaning and everyday chores
    • Light gardening and keeping the garden tidy
    • Walking our lovely, friendly dog Goji

We’re hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys being around young children and animals, and who is happy to help out in a relaxed but responsible way. Experience with childcare, pets, housework or gardening would be wonderful, but most important to us is a warm personality, common sense, and a willingness to be part of family life.

In return, we offer a welcoming home, the chance to experience life on Ireland’s stunning west coast, and to share in our family’s daily rhythm. We would love to host someone who is open, kind and dependable, and who would enjoy becoming part of our little team for a while.

We look forward to hearing from you 😊

As an extra note - the house is in a remote location. Would suit someone who is happy to have quiet time in nature/at home and we can help with transportation to other areas when possible. If you have your own transportation it would be good if you would like to explore more.

The house is an old miners cottage, the original part of the building from the 1890s with a later extension built on in the same style. It's situated within a small hamlet. There is a beach a few minutes walk down the road - for walks or brave, cold water swimmers.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Transport is very limited here so being able to drive would be ideal if not essential for visiting local attractions and shops. I can do some lifts but it would need to be scheduled. If you were a very confident cyclist that could be an option - the roads are narrow with many beds and hills.
