Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are are very outdoorsy and full of adventure.
Hiking in the forests, taking horses to the lake, camping & horse packing experiences, campfires, hiking, star gazing, local parades, lazy river floats on inner tubes in the summer and so much more.
I am a ticketed electrician and interior house painter. Also, I am a hands-on DIY "handyman" for a lot of projects around the house and cabin. My coming 3yo son provides excellent entertainment, but is otherwise unhelpful at this time.
I have been gentling and training horses for the past 10 years, specializing in wild/feral/abused/rescue cases. We do obstacles, flat arena work, pack saddling, driving, trails, and riding through the local town (yes, I am someone who takes the horses through Drive-Thrus for coffee!)Help
Being on the ranch, there's always a long To-Do list! Some required assistance would be with feeding/care of the horses and other farm animals (chickens, cats, dogs), cleaning horse tack/gear, gardening, yard/property chores, building of projects and possibly a couple hours here and there for childcare.
Horse experience is ideal for those wanting to join on rides, however there are a couple of horses here suitable to most skill levels in the arena and out on the trail. Looking for companionship as well in my adventures, and always up for teaching and sharing some of my skills. I am not looking for anyone to be training or be involved with client horses and Workawayers would not be involved with the colt starting business that I have; this arrangement is strictly recreational for the Workawayers, they would get the opportunity to ride and learn from my personal horses.Languages

Accommodations include a cabin with power, a bathroom and kitchenette arrangement (fridge, small appliances & hotplate). Private sleeping arrangements include a cozy Queen bed, dresser, mirror and side table located in the cabin loft.
The cabin doubles as horse tack/feed storage, which has its own room to keep separate from the living space. There is a fridge and kitchenette (with small appliances and hotplate) for those wanting to prepare some of their own comfort dishes.
Main meals are to be made together in the house unless otherwise preferred. What else ...
The property is located in a rural area, where the towns and cities are a minimum of 20-30 minutes away. A vehicle would be ideal for someone wanting to explore on their own, which can be arranged upon request.
