Help with renovations to our self-sufficient home at the Lake of Constance, Germany

  Description

  We are a small family with big plans- A house close to the Lake of Constance, wants to get renovated, believed and filled with beautiful people, encounters, art and laughs.
  We dream of an ecological zero energy house, self-sufficiency with our garden, with a kitchen were we recycle unsalable vegetables from organic farms around. With lovey rooms to get creative- like one big yoga/dance room, a workshop for art, wood and furniture works. Another one for electric and steel construction… The walls want to get isolated with straw balls and plastered with beautiful paintings. Sebastian built an elevator to get materials easily to the 3rd floor and roof. For the renovation we use 2nd hand materials or waste as much as possible.
  Sebastians passion is experimenting with all kind of stuff- and this is very productive. He plays with his 3d printer or the cnc machine- so that we can build special devices. If he can stay home to realize all our projects he is a very happily human.
  Emanuela is a vegetable gardener who also learned in a seed-breeding company and loves to care about her plants. She likes to do the construction work at the house if she has time. At the moment she cares about Amelie our sweet and uncomplicated child. Emanuelas first profession was to be a music and movement teacher. We are very open-minded and curious about people from other cultures. Exchanging philosophies and music is one of our favorite relaxing hobbies.
  What we´ve already done
  Summer 2018 we renovated our roof completely - so that it is dry and we can use the attic. We built a large woodshed and a greenhouse. We started the garden, so that we have own vegetables, seeds and herbs (also for medicines). Sebastian set up two workshops- one for electronic devices and one mainly for steel. We renewed the heating system which runs by wood and the sun. we built the official kitchen and produce there spreads, sirups and pestos.
  At the moment we renovate our garage.

  At the moment we build a conserving kitchen for wasted food, where the main focus is . We have lots of ideas and material to build some good furniture’s 

  Accommodation

  We have a separate room for you (20 square meters) and the living room is also an open and friendly place. Or you camp in the garden. Usually we cook vegan for Sebastian. Ela eats everything. Which is nearly completely organic food, lots of own vegetables, spreads, jam, bread, juice, nuts... We try to eat consciously and put our money as much as possible into the house and renovation.

  What else ...

  We live 15 km away to the lake of constance in a village with good bus connection. And wonderful landscape around us, which you can explore by food, bike, ebike of us and sometimes with us. We also have a smaller lake close by. If we have time, we like to make music, sitting close to the bonfire, playing board games or baking cakes.
