    Description

We only consider female applicants, sorry.

Family Home in Birkenhead, Auckland. Only a 15-minute bus ride into the city (and only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop), we are very conveniently located to get to know Auckland. There are beaches in all a directions and lots of shops only a 5 minute walk away.
We are 3 generations living under 1 roof. We live downstairs with our 5 year old daughter and newborn son (born in October). My father-in-law, Ross, lives upstairs and has a couple spare bedrooms. I am originally from the United States and was an English teacher before I became a Mum, now I am a stay-at-home Mum and a part-time yoga teacher. My partner, Luke, is an ecologist. His father, Ross, is 84 and still very energetic and active. We have a shy cat who lives downstairs.
We all love travelling. We would love to welcome you to our home. You would have your own quiet private room. You would share the bathroom with only 1 person.
It's a large, comfortable house offering a good balance of privacy and social interaction. Please be aware that we do expect a very high level of tidiness in shared spaces (kitchen, bathroom, etc). Please treat our house like a home rather than a hostel :)

We have all travelled extensively. I grew up in the US and lived in Europe and Australia before settling in New Zealand. I was an English teacher previously.
My partner, Luke, is a Kiwi and his family have lived in this area for many generations. His father especially likes talking and telling stories :)

Work includes cooking for yourself and a very active 84 year old man and also cleaning and chores such as laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, changing beds, etc. Hours would be about 3:30 - 7:30 5 days per week with Friday and Saturday off.
We would also love you to have an interest in children as we often eat dinner altogether with the grandchildren.
