    Description

We are a Yoga Retreat Centre based at the foot of the Llanganates national park in the Amazon rainforest. The aim of our project is to protect the wildlife within and share the values of simple living, high thinking with our visitors. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with daily activities on the reserve who will work alongside our team. Tasks include cooking (Workawayers will not be cooking for guests, just helping out with the daily meals for the volunteer team), cleaning, gardening, farming and general maintenance and we also need help organizing fun activities and classes in English for the students of our partner school in Tena which are done every few weeks. The students are local students from Tena and surrounding area who want to practice their English, these workshops can vary from a cookery class to adventure hikes, all done in English. A lot of the work is physical so we need people who are not afraid of getting their hands dirty. You can learn about the local plants and harvest fruit from our tropical garden. We have a yoga deck and mats where you can practice yoga, we do not currently have daily classes but you can book them at a discount price.

What we are currently offering is the trade of 5 hours of your help (from 8am to 1pm daily) 5 days a week in exchange for lodging on our reserve plus breakfast and lunch. You can use our volunteer kitchen to make your own dinner. You can buy vegetables in the nearby town, please do not bring any meat, fish chicken, eggs or products containing them. We have a lacto-vegetarian policy. We give our volunteers a 25% discount on yoga classes, therapies and adventures which can be taken in your free time.
