Description
Hello friends! We are a small, happy, and peace-loving Indian family based in the beautiful city of Ranchi, Jharkhand. I live here with my wife and 3.5 years little daughter, and we love meeting people from different countries and cultures.
Our house is a comfortable and safe space where we treat our guests just like our own family members. We believe in cultural exchange, learning new languages, and sharing stories over a good cup of tea.
Our Project:
We are looking for travelers who want to experience true Indian household life. We do not have any big commercial project or farm work. Our project is simple: we want a friend who can help my wife in the kitchen for just 3 hours a day to prepare daily meals for 2 people. This way you can learn cooking delicious indian and mughals style foods and my wife can also learn cooking your favorite foods if needed. If you won't like to do this then you can just try to teach my little daughter learning English language only.
In return, we are offering you a completely free private room, delicious home-cooked Indian meals, and a friendly environment. My wife will be happy to act as your local guide and friend, helping you understand our traditions. Plus, you can use our motorcycle/bike for free to explore the city, local markets, and beautiful nearby waterfalls at your own pace.
If you are a respectful, clean, and friendly person who wants a "home away from home" in India, we would love to host you!
What we love about our place and local area:
We absolutely love our city, Ranchi, which is often called the "City of Waterfalls." Our home is located in a very peaceful, safe, and clean residential neighborhood. The best part about our area is that it gives you a perfect mix of local culture and beautiful nature.
You will love staying here because it is surrounded by stunning nature spots, hills, and famous waterfalls like Dassam Falls, Jonha Falls, and Hundru Falls, which are easily accessible. The weather here is much more pleasant compared to other big, crowded Indian cities. If you like peaceful green spaces, local markets, and authentic tribal culture, you will fall in love with this place.
People involved in the project:
Our hosting project is completely family-run and very personal. There are no professional staff or outsiders involved in our home.
Myself (The Host): I manage the communication, make sure you are comfortable, and I will hand over the bike keys to you so you can explore the city freely. I'm always up for a good chat about global cultures.
My Wife (The Kitchen Head & Co-Host): She is the heart of our home. She loves cooking and managing the household. She will be working with you in the kitchen for those 3 hours, sharing her secret Indian recipes, and she will also be your local friend and guide to show you the best spots in town.
You will be living with just the two of us as a family member, ensuring 100% privacy, safety, and a true home-like atmosphere!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We believe that a true cultural exchange is all about sharing hearts, stories, and lifestyles. When you stay with us, you won't just be a guest; you will become a part of our daily lives.
What we can share with you:
The Art of Indian Cooking: You will learn how to cook authentic Indian food from scratch. My wife will teach you how to use traditional Indian spices, make perfect rotis, and cook delicious everyday meals.
Language and Traditions: We can teach you Hindi (and some local phrases), explain the meaning behind our colorful festivals, and show you the warmth of a real Indian family structure.
Local Life: Through my wife's guidance and by using our bike, you will get to see India through the eyes of a local, far away from typical commercial tourist traps.
What we want to learn from you:
We love listening to travel stories! We are excited to learn about your country, your culture, your favorite foods, and how people live in your part of the world. We also look forward to practicing our English and enjoying meaningful conversations during our free time.
Come as a traveler, live as a family, and leave as a lifelong friend!
