  • Description

Come volunteer in a new, energetic Holistic school in a village located in Kerala, South India! Its focus is on holistic education and the school has a particular focus on ecology. (Kerala is at the forefront of experiencing severe climate change, with ever rising heat and humidity, pollution and smog, and increasingly frequent severe flooding). We follow a unique teaching approach carefully designed through the integration of educational philosophies of Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, Maria Montessori and Rudolf Steiner. Means it is not 100% Gandhi Philosophy, Tagore Philosophy, Maria Montessori or Rudolf Steiner. It is an upcoming and growing project trying to move and think from the conventional system to Holistic/Alternative Approach.

Looking for virtual teachers in the field of Art & Craft, Music & Dance, Yoga, Maths, Science, Communicate English, Graphic Designers, Web Developers - Target Students:- Age group 6 - 12 years old students and teachers

"Please note that the minimum virtual teaching support is 2 months (8 weeks) for a fruitful give and take experiences in this Covid-19 Scenario"

    - Here you will find an open minded staff and management team interested in supporting your volunteer experience in every way possible. Your skills, desires and goals will be integrated into the vision and energy that is already coursing through the school and its community. As a young school, there is a great deal of flexibility and receptivity to outsiders. Our staff and students are warmhearted and friendly and you will feel a part of the community immediately.

The school sees itself as a knowledge pool where the students and teachers come together to share and grow together in a flat structure. We envision a future education system that promotes cooperation, mutual growth and holistic learning rather than competition and a focus on grades and tests.
    - Learning via real life, outdoors and hands on experience/sensory input.
-Multiple Intelligence & Integrated Learning approach instead of rote learning/memorisation

NB: Please make sure you have an updated resume to share. This resume will help us to understand the prospective Volunteers educational background and experiences to connect with our Holistic Philosophy. Please do like our fb page and go through our programs. We would appreciate if you could come up with your suggestions where you could actively contribute as a Volunteer.
