Description
We are a family that runs a dairy farm with 60 milking cows. We run a little creamery where we produce milk products, such as ice cream. We also have a small ice cream shop for tourist.

We are a farm family that needs extra help. We are located in the north of Iceland, in a valley called Eyjafjörður. There is only a 20 minute drive to Akureyri. There is a local swimming pool and gym only 5 minute drive from our farm.
We are looking for open minded, responsible and self initiated people who are not afraid to try new things and can handle to get in contact with cows and there surroundings.
The creamery will give you a good insight into how we make home made ice cream.
We offer you a family close stay in a beautiful landscape.
Minimum wages in Iceland is 2.200 ISK per hour and will pay according to that for every hour worked

Alberto was a really great help to the farm for 3 weeks. He was always available to help us extra if we needed. I really recommend him to future hosts. Alberto was friendly and easy to get along with. He was respectful to the cows and did all his tasks without any problems.

Matteo has been with us at the farm for almost 3 months, and has been excellent the whole time. He is hard working, always on time, can work independently, but also in a group. He is polite and positive and easy to get along with. We will really miss him! Any future host will be lucky to have him.

Luke was a fantastic volunteer! He is hardworking and easy to get along with. Luke worked in the barn with dairy cows, feeding calfs bottles, feeding hay, cleaning and other barn work. Also worked in our creamery making ice cream, bottling milk and preparing meat for sale. Any host would be lucky to have Luke working for them!
