Description
In general, I'm a busy bee. I like to make a place beautiful, sometimes with simple things from nature that come your way. Sometimes things are time consuming, especially if you are trying to recycle a lot of materials, patience and creativity are more than welcome. My profession: Yurts are my main business. Assembling, sewing and replacing the various cloths. I like to be creative with fabrics and I have an upcycle collection of woolen items such as leg warmers, mittens, hats and cardigans. I am still preparing a tiny workshop to work with leather and beads I prefer to eat as much homegrown food as possible, in the moment the vegetable garden is not big though... It is already a challenge to properly dry and/or preserve all the fruit that can be harvested and to have a the vegetable garden. I try to recycle as much as possible and don't be surprised if you sometimes see plastic bags hanging on the washing line. It would be nice if you, as a workawayer, also had this drive to some extent and helped with reuse and bring as little new plastic as possible in the form of "waste". This is a very green place with many fruit trees, nut trees, olives and grapes. It is wonderful to stay here.

Help
In the spring of 2023 I started to prepare the finca to be able to receive friends and helpers . Aim is to save as much as possible the formal Perma culture finca and to improve the accommodations where the helpers or friends can stay, and the gardens around them. Until the end of 2021 the vegetable garden was fully in use and the finca was largely self-sufficient. The previous owner has put her heart and soul into it for years. Since I don't have much experience in the field of permaculture yet, I most need people who know about this, so that we can bundle our knowledge together and determine in consultation the work that they need. Currently it is a green oasis, where I do my best to maintain the super fertile and fertilized vegetable beds.
Activities will include garden help such as fencing vegetable beds, digging up roots, moving soil, processing fruit, harvesting olives (December/January). Watering the beds. Composting. I can also share my knowledge about yurts. Making yogurt and kombucha. drying herbs and fruit.
A very helpful thing for me can be dog sitting my little Shi Zu ,which is a challenge since she is extremely focused on me.
In the moment there is a big variety of maintenance jobs to do. Such as repair some woodwork, hang in little doors for the toilets, painting , organizing the tool shed.
It is very useful if you come by car. Part of the jobs can be driving to the weekly artisanal market in Orgiva with my little stall, my little dog and me. And now and then it is needed to get some bigger things that are hard to get on the bicycle as gas bottles for example.

Accommodation
There is a mobile home at the entrance which has an own kitchen and shower. The compost toilet is elsewhere on the finca. In a little studio I can receive helpers/family/guest for temporary staying. It has a kitchen, woodturner and 2 beds. The studio is sometimes used for artist in residence. Beside the studio there is a 6 meter yurt which can accommodate 4 or 5 persons. It has an simple cooking possibility and water outdoors. The bathroom is shared. There is a compost toilet that is preferably used. After many years of working in small spaces, I now have access to a larger studio. I'm sleeping in a tiny house with an outdoor kitchen. IN the middle of the finca we have built up a little 4 meter yurt form Kirghizstan. It became a beautiful place for yoga, meditation, massage or little acoustic concerts.
There are about 36 fruit trees on the land plus many grapes and a number of olive trees. You
can find wonderful spots such as on the edge of the water basin where you can spot the
goldfishes and/or the snake. There are many birds that I am still discovering.
What else ...
Orgiva is a vibrant town with a large alternative community. There are many activities on a cultural and spiritual level. You can also take beautiful walks and there is a limited bus connection to the mountain villages.

More than two

My animals / pets
White Pudding (10 years)
Pudding lives already on the finca since 2016. He talks a lot and likes company.
YuYU (2 years)
YuYu is a little Shi Zu. She love to play with the cats , but they dont.....She loves to playin the mornings and sleep a lot.
It is very hard for her to stay home alone, so it is important for me if guests can bond with her to give me time to go out alone sometimes or to the dentist for example.
