Description
We have a vacancy for one workawayer (solo or couple) to stay a few weeks/months from June and farm sit for a week while we're on a much deserved holiday.
Our homestead is nestled in a private little valley, with a small creek running through it. Temperate rainforest all around us, large lush paddocks for cattle grazing, abundant wildlife and very quiet.
You need to be comfortable connecting with nature and appreciate the peaceful seclusion of this beautiful valley. A choice destination for wildlife sighting, birdwatching, and star gazing.
Digital nomads will love our super fast internet.
Writers, philosophers, artists and dreamers will enjoy the inspirational energy of this valley.
We are backed by the Jilliby State Conservation Area (lots of bushwalks & trail rides), and further by the Watagans National Park. The beach is only 25 mins away. There is Wyong River nearby where you can kayak from.
Our neighbours are quiet, friendly and helpful.
Our dog will want to play with you 24/7!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We speak, English, French, Spanish, Italian, and some Japanese. We travelled a lot before we sent roots down on our farm and we enjoy multicultural exchange.
We teach permaculture, rewilding and skills for simple living.
Help
Everything to date has been established... veggie patch, orchards, fences, off-creek water set up, and everything needs to be maintained, improved or troubleshooted! The main work nowadays seems to try stay on top of the wilderness so it doesn't swallow our productive paddocks or infrastructures!!! :)
Other activities include firebreak protection, moving, pruning, bush regeneration, compost making, animal care, and general farm chores.
You need to feel comfortable working on your own as I now have a full-time office job (working from home the most part).
