Description
After a long pause during the COVID era we are back hosting! Yeepee! :D
We have a vacancy for one workawayer to stay from August to end of October. You need to be comfortable working on your own for extended periods of time and appreciate the peaceful seclusion of this beautiful valley.
This will be to help with animal husbandry (moving cows to new grazing cells, feeding chickens and rabbits), harvesting oranges, making compost, mulching trees and managing the food forest and veggie patch... and playing with the dogs!
We are a multicultural family, down to earth, serious and fun at the same time, and we aim at living a simpler life.
We care for the land. We tend to a large food producing garden. We raise many forms of farm animals (cows, chickens, rabbits). We bush regen a lot and we rewild as often as possible.
We are backed by the Jilliby State Conservation Area (lots of bushwalks & trail rides), and further by the Watagans National Park. The beach is only 25 mins away. There is Wyong River nearby where you can kayak from.
Our homestead is nestled in a private little valley, with a small creek running through it. Temperate rainforest all around us, abundant wildlife and very quiet. The farm has been set up as a productive homestead.
