We had 2 great weeks at Edna's place.
From the first moment we felt very welcome and established immediately a good connection. Edna and her daughter Alda are both very friendly and we really enjoyed it to sit with them around the table, having a talk, a good dinner or playing a board game.
Our tasks, like Edna mentioned, were quite different, so
… read more it was never boring and they were fitting very good for us. In our free time we often went for a walk in the near area, which is beautiful to rest for a while.
We also had great experiences with the 17th of May with learning about the traditions and meeting a lot of new and interesting people, including our next hostfamily ;-). And we learned a lot of cool new things like how to play backgammon, how to go fishing or how to do pottery.
Were really glad that we found such a lovely place and we can recommend it to 100 %.

We were lucky to host Vanessa and Lukas for two weeks this spring. It was very easy to be around them and have them in the house and they did excellent work in the garden. They helped in the old house preparing for guests, connecting wifi (special thanks!!), taking apart an old children's play hut, making a compost bin, took away weeds from

We had good times around the table, eating, talking, playing Backgammon and together we learned how to play Kalaha. They joined us in celebrating the national day of Norway, 17. May. I am sure we will meet again! We can absolutely recommend them!

This was my first experience with workaway and Edna and her family and friends have been a wonderful way to experience this journey. They are very welcoming and friendly; it was a beautiful way to learn about Norway's culture. They have brought me in day trips around the fjord and were very flexible with working hours.
Hope the vine in the

We had the pleasure of hosting Elena for nine days this summer. We really enjoyed having her around and she did good job in our garden fighting the weeds. There were a lot! Riccardo spent 9 days in our family, and we had really nice days together! He did wonderful job in our garden, moving a lot of stones and putting on new gravel. He helped me in the pottery studio and on the market. It was very easy to have him around, he saw what to be done, we had good conversations and we learned a lot of Italian culture. But I

Charming place and "fantastisk" people!
Edna and Alda let me feel a member of the family from the first moment I arrived in Etne. The atmosphere inside the house was always nice and welcoming, the working hours were flexible and never too heavy.
I really enjoyed playing with Alda and her friends until late in the evenings, as well as having nice
