Helpers will have access to daily learning of the Ojibwe language, pow wows, and other Anishnaabe cultural events, and will leave here having learned a great deal about the First Peoples of this territory. A deeper understanding of one's relationship to the land, the water, the atmosphere, and the global community is available to any who seek it here. And we love ART!!!

Tourism is a large part of the island economy and activity, so volunteers can expect a wide variety of off-farm activities. There is a Dark Sky Preserve right around the corner, Land Art events, Country fairs and farmer's markets, fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, fossil hunting, wildcrafting, as well opportunities to express oneself through many art forms, right here on our 100 acre farm.
