We need one or two people to help with a variety of activities including gardening, cleaning, and tech support. This is a beautiful farm on a beautiful island where swimming, hiking, birdwatching, creek walking, powwows, campfires, and storytelling can fill your downtime. Humour and positivity are highly valued at the Art Farm!

Helpers will have access to daily learning of the Ojibwe language, pow wows, and other Anishnaabe cultural events, and will leave here having learned a great deal about the First Peoples of this territory. A deeper understanding of one's relationship to the land, the water, the atmosphere, and the global community is available to any who seek it here. And we love ART!!!
We require people with great energy and positivity As well as gardening activities such as planting, weeding, and harvesting, helpers will pitch in with cooking and cleaning. General repairs, maintenance, hauling firewood and so on could be part of the picture.

Tourism is a large part of the island economy and activity, so volunteers can expect a wide variety of off-farm activities. There is a Dark Sky Preserve right around the corner, Land Art events, Country fairs and farmer's markets, fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, fossil hunting, wildcrafting, as well opportunities to express oneself through many art forms, right here on our 100 acre farm.
