Helping with my B&B + gardening, enjoying the amazing wildlife & nature

I'm looking for one or two Workaways from June to early October to assist with B&B guest services, tours, and gardening. Our posting is more about a deeper experience than a regular job! 2 months minimum stay, I prefer longer stays over shorter ones

Please read the complete profile before applying!

Hi! I'm Rolf. I run a small, private B&B with just one guest room, along with ethical wildlife photography tours where we observe bears, whales, sea otters, and other incredible animals. I also maintain a small farm growing veggies for our guests and ourselves, plus a vermiculture (worm farm).

I work hard but love what I do, and I'm looking for like-minded people who enjoy being proactive and learning new skills. Everything here is small-scale, personal, and driven by sustainability and passion—not profit.

I'm looking for mature, independent, nature-loving people who enjoy tranquillity and aren’t afraid to pitch in where needed.

This is my family home and I'm are looking for people who feel comfortable in this environment, comfortable around us and who love to take ownership of their tasks. This is not a job with set times; our place is a constantly changing environment, it is always busy but also always relaxed. You will also be able to join me on some of my wildlife tours.
Work hours are roughly only 10 hours per week on average; I pay minimum wage.

I do have two boys, 14 and 15 (Down Syndrome) who are normally here during weekends.

    What I'm Looking For:
    - Reliable, mature, independent, and proactive people
    - Comfortable talking to international guests
    - Able to spot what needs to be done and take initiative
    - Enjoy peace, nature, and working solo rather than partying
    - Someone who enjoys to spend a lot of time in the garden or wants to learn about growing food
    - A great fit for our small, friendly team
    - Good English is a must

    We can share knowledge about:
🌱 Creating a food garden from scratch
🌎 Sustainable living, composting, and vermiculture
    📷 Photography & videography (I’ve been a pro photographer for 35+ years)
💡 Bonus Perk: You will have opportunities to join my exclusive wildlife tours and experience the area like a local, which very few people do.
